When I cannot disappear into the woods within the fog, I like to get inside my wardrobe!:0) It makes me feel safe and secure. At the same time I am dreaming that I am entering into another World...-You must be thinking I am mad!- But it is so weird...it makes me feel so well protected! What happens to people who are claustrophobic, happens to me in huge open spaces...I feel sooooo vulnerable! As if I am living a nightmare. (You will know what I mean if you try to get from even the middle of Central Park in N.Y. to its one corner that lies in front of you. It is like running and running and you never reach what you see...like the projected oasis in Sahara desert)

Solitude in nature IS pretty cool, but I don't have that too close to me usually. My bedroom works when I'm at home, but I've dormed for two years which means sharing. Personal space is hard to come by at a college. Sometimes, then, the night would be my personal space: walking at night, there's no one else around. Other than that, there's pretty much just the shower. SO glad I have an apartment next year.

Mine is my house. I live alone and love the peacefulness of it but if I need real space and room to breath then the river at the bottom of the village is great. You can hear the river running by, the sheep in the field the odd car passing by and the birds in the trees. The air is fresh and clean and the sky is an open expanse of colour. Perfect...mm mm

I used to like sitting under the table as a kid, but now it's the bath. I take a book, kiss goodbye to the world, and emerge 3hours and a few hundred pages later feeling a lot more relaxed, refreshed, and ready to face life and its many challenges.

I go to the park and sit by the lake on a bench. I block everything out and just think. peace. Think I might go to the park today.

In public, it is within arms length. Any closer than that and you'd better be a hot female.
The best place to meditate is deep in the woods....there is this river I go to....its isolated and there isn't a thing but miles and miles of forest on either side of it....on top of the waterfall on a boulder and listen to the sounds....it's AWESOME!

I like to open the window of my bedroom at night and just look at the stars, and think about things, or just take advantage of the peace and quiet and relax, trying not to think of much - it really helps, plus I can sleep better afterwards

My personal space is anywhere on the 18 to 25 sq. in. I stand on at any given time, at arms length or leg reach. Or the effective distance of my weapon at said time.
