Our instinct is a warning signal that warns us to listen to our inner voice to avoid us from getting into trouble. Subconsciously we all sense it in some way or other and some people even more than others that there is something wrong or that there is something we should do because it can help us. If we do not give in to our instinct and try to reason it away things usually go wrong or do not go the way we want them.
I have had a period when I tried to reason my instinct away because I had fallen in love with someone that I knew deep inside wasn't good for me and that my instinct had warned me about but I reasoned it away by telling myself not to be crazy and go for it because he behaved so friendly and trustworthy before I knew it I found myself locked in a very abusive relationship from which it was almost impossible to escape because he made sure I couldn't leave him. I will never reason my instinct away again. I've learned my lesson the hard way.

I found that when I follow my instinct in a casino I win more money. Does that count? My instincts told me to split tens on a $50 bet, so I did and two Blackjacks came up. The other people at the table weren't too crazy about me, but too bad. I play like a sausage, but I'm a lucky sausage.

Instinct is actually feelings or reflexes formed by experience that one follows unconsciusly, but with determination. Isn't it funny how people never remember following their gut? Because you think you know what youre doing after the moment of decision goes away.

Instinct equals experience. You may not even know what you would do in a certain situation until it is brought up to you but instinct will tell you what to do. If you don't trust it then your doubting yourself and that's just bad.

ANYtime ive NOT "gone with the gut" ive regretted it, even in small ways, too many/too personal to list. dont question it-just trust it.
