No, I'll just keep my fingers, thank you.
I mean, if I had a finger cut off, I'd feel like a freak, then I'd get all depressed. Next thing you'd be telling me the cure for depression was to cut off an arm, and then I couldn't work to support my family.
That could lead to me feeling like less of a man, so you'd be telling me the cure for that was to remove my penis.
I'd be finding that very hard to live with, so the cure for that would probably be to cut out the part of my brain that fuels emotions.
Without emotions, I'd be the walking dead.
All that just so i don't catch a cold or measles?
No! I'll keep my finger and my germs, at least I'll be alive to feel my fingers and my toes.

Heck yeah. You guys ever heard of prosthetics? I'm sure they have one for the finger, of course it won't be the same, but still. Living without one finger is easy. It's when you up it to say a whole set of fingers that it becomes more difficult to follow through with such a deal.
