Both tests are stated as being the best (one considering just the intellectual side the other just the emotional) but the battle is argued by many on which is truly the better method.
What is your opinion on the matter? And why?

There is no doubt in my mind that the IQ is the better of the two. My IQ rating placed me in a catigory of an insightful linguist. My professions are teaching Chinese students in English and I am aslo a writer.

IQ without common since isn't much. Common sense goes further. The right balance of emotional is good but off balance is bad. I don't think there is a perfect test always Grey areas in life (and I'm usually in that area) it's just a basis to go by. It would also depend on the job or placement the person was being considered to being placed as to weather it was asset or not. And i too have never heard of eq but I have heard of places giving personality test which would fall in that catagory for sure. Let's them know if your introvert or extrovert judgmental thinking team player and it can make a difference in certain job placements:-)

Neither is worth a piss if taken on the internet. For any test to be accurate, it must be administered by a professional. And since they measure 2 different sets of abilities, I don't see how one is better than the other. As someone else mentioned, you can be intellectually brilliant and have no clue about emotions, and vice versa.

An IQ test. Unless you have a paid subscription--and even then, people can cheat--they are not always accurate, timed tests aren't timed as precisely, etc. Definitely regular IQ tests.

I dont think that people should know what their IQ is because then they will never know what their best accually is and thats a good thing because they will always believe that they can do better. I've never heard of the E-IQ before..

Considering IQ is more than the simple duality you present we can thank a God you are not in charge of designing, testing, or measuring such concepts. You should really look into this before posting.

IQ tests are not accurate. They are biased towards the english language, they assume everyone can hear, see, and percieve the same as everyone else, and they are biased toward the english language. E-IQ tests are fun and usually tell you something about yourself but are still not really a true picture of who you are....only you know that,

I don't think either is a super efficient test. All it does is measure one aspect of intelligence. Human beings are more complex in their intelligence than just measures of book smarts and emotional intelligence. There are various forms of intelligence, not all measurable by tests.
