All you need to do is show you are sincere. Most people are a Doubting Thomas; it is necessary to provide them with information that is easy to check. But the main ingredient is gaining trust by letting others see you are a person to be trusted, because of past deeds.

If what you say makes sense then there is a good chance they will agree. Then again, there are a lot of people out there that have no sense of anything. These sorts of people, well good luck making them agree with anything.
