This is a sad, but very true poem, you should read it

The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama. Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama. The judge's poem sums it up quite well.

America the Beautiful,
Or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
I'm glad they'll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
Your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly
Poisoned by cocaine,
Choosing to indulge their lusts,
When God has said abstain.

From sea to shining sea,
Our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love
And a need to always pray.

We've kept God in our temples,
How callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
And Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government
That's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges
Who throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer
In a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby
Before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not angry,
That our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait
Before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our God,
From Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
But stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children,
Will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face
And mend our evil way:

Then God will hear from Heaven
And forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land
And those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful,
If you don't - then you will see,
A sad but Holy God
Withdraw His hand from Thee.

~Judge Roy Moore

Pass this on and let's lift Judge Moore up in prayer.
He has stood firm and needs our support.

Not only are you a judge but more...you see the world exactly as it is in our day to day lives. May you be blessed with the courage, strength, knowlege, and love that you hold inside of you only through your belief that God does exist and we should remember he is the power above all.

One of the major founding principles of this country WAS freedom of religion, and that has since been expanded to include freedom FROM religion. That having been said, i would personally be much happier if inclusion were the answer instead of exclusion, but I understand the difficulty in implementing that and accept it. What I mean by inclusion is that the Ten Commandments should be allowed in the courthouse, so long as a quote from the Quran, the Tao Te Ching etc were also included. As stated, this would be fairly difficult to find room to be inclusive of EVERYONE and therefore fair. So, the logical answer would be we just don't talk about religion in state matters.
I won't get into the issue of calling yourself "pro life" if you believe in the death penalty, or about the utter hypocracy involved therein.

Oh. And...why is this under Psychology?

It's a tough chew, free will versus Gods will. I choose free will. Chin up Judge their going to hit you again. Perhaps a little martyrizing is what you need to lift your spirits. The ten commandments are far to simple anyway. That's what you get from simple folk, stupidity, and we have simply gone from innocent obedidient simplicity to wonton individuality. Get off your intellectual a*s and hit the books, and I don't mean THE bible, nobody argues from that anymore. Free will stands alone or it don't stand at all, ever. I think God can appreciate that predicament, but I don't think he's going to go soft with you; he's got too much respect for you.

Even judges have to obey the law. A judge should know this more than most people. The founding fathers did a very wise thing in separating church and state. Look at the Muslims, their church is their state and their state is their church. Should we be like them?

Very sad but very true. We can't change the fact that those things of the end times must come about in order for us to see God's Promises and revelations come to pass.
We will always have prayer, and we will always have choice.
the rest seems to simply be thrown to the wind.
