Psychology - June 2006

my cousin put himself in a real mess. coming out of high school, he had everything going for him. a scholorship to a private school, and 34 on the ACT put him on the road to succeed. however, over his 4 college years, he began to do worse and worse in his classes. Lately, we found out that he had been playing computer games on public computers at the college until 4 a.m. each day instead of going to class. he failed out of his senior year. he was majoring in economics (which i dont know what job he would get) but now only has his high school diploma. he has been fired from 3 jobs in college. now, my aunt set him up with an apartment and gave him $150 and left him on his own. he has yet to find a job and his bills are coming up. is my aunt doing the right thing for him?

I found out that my boyfriend of 11 months has lied about his whole past. He fabricated stories of where he lived, went to school, relationships, and the list goes on. He says he's sorry, but doesnt act that remorseful. He needs help. I know that I am not crazy, but I do know that I do need to speak to someone to understand why he had been lying.

There is this person that recently moved into our neighborhood. He is very quiet dosen't talk to anybody, dosen't make much facial expressions either. He tries to avoid people. When walking he avoids looking at people too. He is however, extremely handy and has done very interesting repairs requiring skill by himself. He appears to be in his 20s, has a 4-year degree in a technical field and holds a professional job, has a wife, and 18 mo daughter. I was just curious what you guys think

My friend claims that he used to have a fued with the girl he liked's boyfriend in highschool. Now, he knows someone in a similar scenario, his female friends husband, and he thinks that his unconscious is blending the two people together/ He says even though he doest have anything against the new guy, she still hates him. I've been having all kinds of problems with my computer and my Internet connection,these last months.Once,I couldn't work or write or communicate for almost five days.Yesterday,this happened again and I was without Internet for more than 14 hours.With a lot of work to do and friends waiting for me to answer to their messages,I couldn't be more frustrated!

I find it difficult to distract my mind and do something else,in these situations.How is this,for you? How do you deal? Any ideas that might help me?

i am 13 and she is 27.i respect her lots,in class and anywhere.i am a female and so is she.i just got feelings for her.she gave me lots of presents and protects me in school and gave me free tutors.it makes me love her and our relationship closer.we were like sisters.she tells me her problems and i tell her mine.we help each other but she is only a teacher.i talk about her lots to my frens.they think that i am a les.i just love her but i don't think they know how much i love her.i blush everytime i see her.she of course say hi.and i scord for every exam paper of her subject.i got top for every paper!am i a les or just that i love her as a teacher?

i keep having a recurring dream that i'm being forced by my mom (who is a devout southern baptist)to leave my wife(i'm lesbian), and that i'm forced to, depending on which version of the dream i'm having, either move in w/a gay guy friend of mine, a cousin, or my best friend. for some reason, i always dream i'm being forced to move into a mobile home trailer park, and i and whoever i'm w/can't settle on which one we want. and for some reason, my wife is never in these dreams, but in my dream, she's always a nameless someone that i know i can call to make things better, but i can never get in touch w/her. what does this dream mean? my mom is a southern baptist in real life, and i am a lesbian in real life.
