This answer could be long, but in brief, hate is usually an expression of fear. I also think that hate can be taught, so education helps one to have confidence in thinking for oneself and usually becoming more open-minded.

i completely agree.it is very sickening and just repulsive.prejudice and mean spirits, acting on prejudice feeling or thoughts...i could never imagine doing anything like that.i think people do this for a numer of possible reasons.one could be that they were raised to believe certain things, that their families showed them a completely different world where they were free of the possibility of predjudice, if you know what i mean.possibly they were sheltered from being able to form their own opinions on the subject and then when they were thrown into the world along with the possibility of prejudice thoughts they were shocked at what they found and formed incorrect thoughts.it is a whole vicious circle that i really dislike.i think it is unfair and there is no proper reason for any of this to be happening.yet, it is.and i find that sad.

(1) First, what you say is absolutely correct and I do not have any argument with you.
(2).When we pay our attention on this matter, we can see that this situation has solely been happening due to the system errors of our education.
(3) Making compromise among others is not the foundation of our societies when we deal with others. As a result of that, inhuman activities and violence are gradually being increased. Because majority of societies wishes things what they feel are absolutely correct and it often makes a conflict. It is the secret behind it.
(4) In addition to that, current education system of the world is not based to create a man with excellence, humanity and harmony and it often makes a narrow minded person who thinks much about the materials what he can acquire.
(5) Now you can understand this is not been happened solely one incident occurred. and the attitude of society is also directly effected.
(6) Therefore, I concern to solve this problem we should create a more effective education system for world and please see my profile to confirm what I mention well.

I don't really get it either. I mean everyone has heard 'its not good to hate' or something that basically says hating is a waste of time.
A lot of religions even say, ' you shouldn't hate'. They don't all say it the same way but, most encourage ppl to be kind to others.
But, maybe all that is just ppl striving for perfection. Hate, among other things, is what keeps us from that. I am not for the destructioin of hate, but stupid hate, yes.
Like racism and other prejudices.
But were not going to get rid of that. I have my own prejudices for black ppl. (bad experiences in a mostly african american school)
However, it comes down to this. How much are you gonna let that prejudice control your life and who you talk you. I know my problem. so, whenever i meet someone new, who is black or really dark, i just remind myself not everyone is like that and give them a chance. As long as your willing to change your mind i think its okay to have certain prejudices.

Who knows? I think that a huge amount of it is ignorance. So many people are raised to be bigots and close minded. It is so unfortunate. Wouldn't it be great if people were actually taught from children to love one another regardless of differences in race, religion, politics, etc. So many people want to feel better than everyone else or that their way is the right way.

I hate Questions like This. lol
When something is wrong, Apathy is worse that being angry enough to do something about it. For Evil to win it is necessary that good people do nothing.
We can't stay in our own little la-de-da world while the rug is being pulled out from under us. The Bible says be angry but do not sin. It's tricky but if you read the rest of The Book, It tells you haw to do it. I am still trying. There is such a thing as righteous anger. Be angry about what is happening to people that is hurting them and how otherwise good people are being taken in by lies.
Be angry enough to vote. Be angry about injustice and abortion and euthanasia.
Hate things and sin and bad actions. I am always trying. Don't hate people and
Love God Always. ;-)
God Bless You, ;-)

I think that people form allegiances to groups that they belong to (or would like to belong to). This is similar to the way that people root for their sports team and hate the opponent. This is not necessarily right or wrong because there are many benefits of belonging to a group, for the individual and the group itself. This seems to be a part of human nature. But, I do not think that people should be so strongly connected to a group that they separate themselves from the larger collective: humanity.

That's true, this hate is useless nowadays.
However, in the past, when humans competed for survival, like animals, this feeling was perfectly natural. Hating something different is natural, it builds up competition and drives you on.
This, however, has changed into riots and wars - sadly - if technology and evolution is added as an ingredient.

They spend their energy in hate because they have been brought up in rigid and even punitive environments. Hatred shown to others are aggressive behaviors that are fueled by stone-hard beliefs and less on the values of human dignity and solidarity.

Their hate is a reflection of their fear, sadness, or insecurity. They use hate language and negative actions to vent their personal problems. It is far easier to hate a group of people than to work on getting past ones own struggles.
