Mine goes like this. I sleep really late because I work at night. I get up around noon, good off with my stay at home wife for a couple of hours before she has to go pick up the kids from school. Then I start working. I do networking and programming work for a living. I will work for two hours while they are doing their homework then I take about a four hour break and goof off with the kids. Then I get back to work once they are in bed around 9pm. I will work all night, until about 5am most nights, writing code or remotely managing various networks I am in charge of maintaining. I go to bed and it starts all over again. My life is like a vacation that sucks even though I admit, I do get to see my family a lot, which is nice. Anyway, what is your life like, in a nutshell?

My friend has told me about some paoltergeist activity they are having at their home. I would like to research the home and land to find out the history of the particular location their home is built on (who lived there and so on - there is a particular name that's been brought up and want to see if it was a person that lived on that location). Where would be the best place to start gathering this information? Thanks!

Recently I observed two random, what could be called, 'stereotypes'

-a lot of cabdrivers at a Muslim funeral
-a coincidence with Irish people seeming very wholesome and nice

Are these observations rude? Why is it wrong to notice things like this? Is it base?

I am relatively new here, and seems to me that if I ask a question, I should be the one to judge who has the best answer. How can I pick the best answer?

You know, like what are the 100 things you would like to do before you die? They dont all have to be big, like Spend a year in every country-they can be simply, have health insurance for my family. But they have to be definable. Something that can be accomplished-like lose 50 lbs. That can be measured. Being 'happy' cant be measured.

I'm never organized and this is beginning to be a problem. But whenever I try to get more organized I can't get rid of bad habits, like pilling junk on my desk, or leaving paper lying around my room. This is also reflecting on my computer; I'll have 20 files on my desktop that I don't know what to do with, or I never empty my trash folder. I can't seem to find a system that works for me, and I'd really like to be more organized.

A conscience is the mind’s power to overcome instincts and base desires. Some people think it is instilled in us at a young age, others believe it is partly something we are born with whether from a higher power or from some sort of hardwire inside the brain (personally I believe it is made up of all of the above).

When a pet animal is house trained we are teaching them to control their instincts. Some of the learned habits are based on wild behavior and pack animal submission, but at some point I believe domesticated animals seem to develop a sort of sense of right and wrong.

I have heard it theorized that the advanced nurturing that an animal receives as a beloved pet actually encourages higher though in animals and not just the appearance of such (anthropomorphized).
What do you think?
