I am relatively new here, and seems to me that if I ask a question, I should be the one to judge who has the best answer. How can I pick the best answer?

You can and should pick the best answer for your questions for 3 extra points to spend on questions. If you wait too long to go back to check your answers to your questions it will be put up for community vote. You can set up your e-mail communication questions to receive email from Answers when you have additional responses to your questions, when you get a best answer and when your questions are running out of time. That's what I do. Log into Answers and click your avatar scroll down and your answers tab will be activated. Click on your questions tab to check them.

Have fun.

You ask the question, other people vote on it, but YOU select the
best answer! People voting are basing their opinion on their own
feelings and personal experience--not yours. So, only YOU can
know for sure which answer is the best one!

Pick the answer that closet answers your question. You can rate the question and comment on why you chose the answer.I've asked some tough questions too.
