Perhaps $2000. For a 1000 bucks I could build a small library in some remote barrio here in the Philippines, perhaps in Guinsaugon,Southern Leyte where there had been a landslide last year and hundreds of people were buried alive.. And the rest of the money would be used to buy books and furnishings.Better yet, you can do it yourself and tour our country at the same time. We have nice places to visit but certainly nicer people to meet with.

If you just won 4.9 million in the state lottery, I would simply say 'congratulations' and wouldn't expect to get a dime from you ... even if you were my child. I my husband won it, I'd get to 'talk and agree' on how we would spend it ... and it would be 'the same' with him if I won a lottery. And if I did actually win 4.9 million, I'd 'automatically' give 'half' of my actual 'cash winnings' to an agency that could 'house the homeless' ... because I've been 'homeless' and so has my husband, and while we 'got out' of that on our own, many people just don't 'have it together enough' to do it without help.

I would want all the money that you would consider you don't need ( after some serious calculations) but I wouldn't touch a dime for myself...there are sick people who can't get medical help unless they have some serious amounts of money (at least in this part of world I live in) ...when I see them showing very sick kids on tv saying that they need 10G for an operation I feel like taking the life of those people who consider that you have to pay first (this is a metaphor)...what if the poor kid dies until someone gets all the money ...anyway...spend the money for the poor countries...here even if you are a hard working person you don't have a chance most of the time.

None of it. Its not mine to want or need. Now if you owed me money, I would want it back with the normal interest expected from the bank if I had been waiting for more than a year. If not, just the amount. NOW if I have just won 4.9 million, I would want it all and need it all.

I'd accept if you were giving a reasonable amount such as around 15,000G to get our lives back on track and to get our credit back in order. (hubby and 2 little girls) Just trying to recover some serious failures in the economy that drove my husband out of self-employment. But I totally agree with some of these other answers here, althought there are some very unfortunate countries out there who could use a major step in the upward direction, WHAT ABOUT THOSE IN OUR OWN COUNTRY?????

I dont know how much it takes to endow a chair (professor), but I would like to endow an chair of African Americna Studies at my university who is not scared to confront the university on its racist ignorant policies toward minority student organizations and help advance the so-called diversity education program within the residential program services (dorms) which is non progressive and can actually do a lot more harm to students sense of awareness by lulling them into believing they are well adjusticed if they know a certain set of diversity buzz words.

And I would definitely like some to donate to the Black culture center on campus which the director tells us student is on available for influence by dollars. Meanwhile it is on constant threat of being taken away from being the black culture center because it is poorly managed and the directors refuse to accomodate the student interests for which it was built. :(

So I guess about...1 to 1.5 mill which is sort of a lot, but its not for me directly. I'll take what you can give.

it really is a rip-off. The sucker sends funds and not in any respect sees a dime or cashes a upward push verify and writes a authentic verify to conceal a processing value and is out the quantity of the authentic verify. The sucker reveals it unusual that they couldn't remember entering right into a lottery abroad, yet is in basic terms too stupid to allow that actuality get interior the way of freely giving his or her funds.

I'd need about $10 grand, just to pay off credit card bills so my family wasn't so stressed out here, while I'm deployed out here in Kuwait.
