We're talking the typical B-movie zombies versus realistic modern New Guinea type cannibals who will hunt you like an animal.

Zombies. They are far stupider.
In most zombie movies, the zombies are very slow moving, and don't quite understand how to use weapons. The only advantage they have over the cannibals is that they are very powerful and relentless; a zombie will never run from a fight.
The cannibals on the other hand would be far better hunters. They can communicate well, and hunt efficiently in groups. Also, they would be equipped with blow-darts, spears, arrows, or whatever else they may find suitable. Clearly, a more intelligent foe than zombies.
With the zombies, as long as you stay in an open area and maintain a safe distance, it should be a piece of cake to start taking them out one by one. The cannibals on the other hand would be quick and could easily fight back from a long range.

Hungry cannibals- at least you can fight them and kill them. Zombies are the walking dead. How can you kill something that has already died? I think you have more of a chance against the cannibals.

Aren't zombies and cannibals virtually the same. They both eat human flesh with the major difference of one being dead and the other alive? Zombies are fun to kill. Play dead rising on the 360. Great, great, great zombie game.

Zombies, cause usually the zombies have to go to the subway or a cave to hide in the daytime. Sometimes flares or bright lights will drive them off at night too.
