Talking of strategies, you will need to address your audience.

Who are they? and will you need different tactics for each group? And on what scale? Locally or internationally?

Well asuming its all of them try the following:

Teenage audience in the west: Try posting videos where the children speak about their horrors or have them translated

Or have pen pals- where each child can have their own pen pal in a western country- im sure many public schools are willing to engage in that kind of a programme

locally: get a journalist to do just 1 article on them in the local press- if your lucky regional papers will read it and do a follow up- shortcut: find an international journo.

get the kids to engage in arts projects- like have them take a camera and show us their world through pictures

Bro, i hope i didnt sound rude or like naiieve with the pictures one, but i try to work with teens in my area in australia (we're not that bad) but still theres heaps you can do. Good luck

I think you are doing an admirable thing, good luck! But I do not believe in educating an African child in Western ideals or standards, as you know things are very different in Africa. The trouble starts when Africans are educated to western standards when they live in a third world country with different ideologies and way of life. The best you can do is to teach those children that we are all part of a bigger whole and if they speak with one voice they will be heard. Its those same children who will grow into adults and change the way for others in Uganda.

The world is changing. We are coming of the age where more and more people see the altruistic side rather than the egotistical side. At the moment you are picking at an iceberg with a small icepick and still have the whole glacier ahead of you. Any and all forms of information that can be got out is better than nothing. And the best arm in this fight for attention is love and patience. And endurance, and more love and patience. Some day things will be different.

children world wide are at risk for torture, slavery and abortion, maybe we should look into our own homes before telling other people in the world what they should do with their kids
