I am not gonna explain my question because you know what i am talking about. Please be very detailed about why you choose to be so complicated especially to your male counterparts.

I've heard many traits described as part of the masculine ideal: integrity and honor, protecting those who are weaker than you, stoicism, etc. I'm curious what those here (men AND women) consider to be the ideal for women. Do you think your own thoughts on the subject conflict with traditional or current popular views? I'm curious to hear some thoughts.

Also, please spare me any trite "anything-and-everything" answers. Not only is it boring, but it's also banal and meaningless. Thanks in advance.

I saw on a nature show that armadillos can delay gestation for up to 2 years if it's a drought. She can be pregnant in a drought year, and decide she doesn't want the baby in that year and postpone it until the next year and then until the next year if the time still isn't right.

What do you think society would be like, or what laws would change if humans could do that.

Or, are the two unrelated?

I am kind of hoping those young girls who watch movies such as, Pretty Woman, and are disillusioned by the fallacy of a glorified sex trade will connect the dots on this one.

In todays consumer culture men are often portrayed as womens objects of desire. This is a very recent evolution, probably a contingent effect of modern western feminist activism...
But what is to become of the traditional male pattern of sexual dominance ?
Is this objectification of male sexuality a crucial factor in the evolution towards gender equality? Is it becoming easier for a girl or a woman to seduce, to deceive a guy, making sex a personal conquest? Is she bound to search more actively since he is being desired just as well? Or will men use desirableness as a new means to negotiate pleasure?
What sounds most logical? And what is your opinion?

I told her that we don't want the soup. So then she just ordered one for herself. Then when she got the soup she gave it to me and said "I didn't want the soup". So I said, "then why did you order it, I certainly didn't order it and I don't want it". Then she kept nagging me until I ate her goddamn soup.

What is her problem? Anyone else experience this?

*I'm a guy, 19 years old

Would like feedback from the women.

Do women understand the strength of the male sex drive? Do women realize how men look at them when they wear revealing attire? Do women have any idea that the men are not just picturing them naked, but are actually imagining having sexual intercourse with them? If so, does that bother women, or are they aware of this fact and choose to wear revealing attire for this very reason?

Low IQ, easy to get over on men seem to be a delicacy for women nowadays. Before it was "get that young handsome NASA director", now it's "get that poor dumb loser with no job, no schooling, no ambitions, no career goals, and still receives Western Union from his parents". I personally think it has to do with how society is doing a 360* turnaround from what it used to be. Women now are completing 60% of graduate degrees to mens 40%...and fellow men one question for you..."WHAT THE **** ARE WE DOING"...but I feel now successful women have the same mindset as successful men had for oh so long..."marry the average looking guy, have children, and HE'LL stay home, while I MANAGE all the finances and keep the household intact." Females have been on the backburner for so long and now they are at the forefront of everything (great accomplishment)

I guess this isn't a rant, but more of a commentary on how we are slowing witnessing a role reversal in society. Opinions & Thoughts...?!

In the past of couple of days i have posted questions to the yahoo community and i thank for the responses which have been very emotional and sincere and have made me a more enlightened male.
I have learnt a lot and my gratitude to especially women for their responses.
I apologise if i have projected myself as a woman hater becuase nothing could be far from the truth but some comments really hurt i started this to learn and explore.
Some answers cut to the quick i pledge to you i will work to bring about a change whereby there exists a world where there is no abuse be it rape or anything else where men and women love each other more than anything else and children have future pregnant with love and happiness and prosperity.
Its a dream and if i cant convert it into reality atleast i will die trying.
Once again i apologise to all women for all the statements i have made here is another one to atleast make up for it.

The word woman was made as an compliment to the word man.

65% of all wealth in US is in the hands of women and how they earned it by sending the man to jail and taking all he he stood for there are worst things than rape and women have come up with a new concept on this word.
Great going you were the supposedly last hope the gender that could make a differnece but you are doing excatly or even worse than men .
Oh god the answers i have received make me happy and sad .
Answers from women have been abusive because i dared to raise issues related to men like the feminists in the early 20 th century but they had atleast support of some men.

Men thank you for your support your answers give me confidence that one day we will be sexually independent and perhaps then and only then women and men can again think of garden of eden and love.

DESPITE BEING CALLED A WOMAN HATER I LOVE AND CHERISH THEM LIKE NOTHING ELSE BUT THEY ARE NOT
LISTENING .
STILL MY QUESTIONS ARE NOT AN EXPRESSION OF HATRED OF WOMEN ONLY MY ANGUISH.
I LOVE YOU.

I went to the MTV Most Controversial Videos channel on MTV.com, and I saw Britney Spears's "Baby one more time". It was controversial because of the objectification of young women, but I don't get it.

like instead of saying ''firemen'' they want to change it to ''firefighters'', or ''mankind'' to ''humankind'', then, since feminists claim to be about equality between the genders, shouldn't they change their name to ''equalists''?

In case you can't see the connection: feminist=feminine=female.
What if a guy was a feminist, eh?

What do you think? and why?
