For years feminist have claimed they want equality but is it true or no. For example they state the important of equal pay for equal work but then again very few of them fight to be included in the military draft. Then the same can be said about domestic violence, sexual harassment, and statutory rape in which only female victims and male offenders are the subject of discussion. Yet if there is an area in which females make up 10% of the concentration and they are not included we hear discrimination. The same can be said about movies and soap operas whenever a man strikes a woman he is a woman beater even under the most provoking situations but then vice versa the woman who hit or slap a man was doing out of emotions. I personally dont think that equality should be continued to push for women if it is not also pushed to make them equally responsible what do you think?

Why women don't liked to be called hoe? Its just a word. If a woman called me a "male hoe" I would not be upset. I'll be like "HELL YEA"!

I am looking to prove a point in a debate. My point is that feminist literature will increase assertiveness in women so that they are not as likely to be beat by there husbands. I need a women in society, at any time, that has maybe left there husband due to increased assertiveness. Please and Thank You.

Author of To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee, set three women around Scout character to help her grow up - Calpurnia/Maudie/Alexandra - this model may have come from the Bible since the South has traditionally embraced it, but Harper Lee may have found a structure for supporting struggling families (with only one parent for example). This basic structure is also found in the natural environment; kingdoms of mineral/plant/animal; roots/branches/leaves of plants; animal head/body/limbs; growing period of formation/growth/completion; gas/liquid/solid forms of matter.

I am their to bebuild the homes to help people. Not show you how to use a hammer and nail, use a power-tool, and lift the heavy stuff for you when I am in the middle of something!

This Cowboy helped rebuild 11 homes all for free for the poor, but I can no longer do it. The woman that come on the job just seem to ruin the momentum of everything. And, the jobs get extremely catty. Good Luck New Orleans. Comments?

*** it-1 p. 202 Assyria ***
. Certain laws dating from one period of Assyrian history, however, illustrate again the harshness so frequently characterizing the nation. Mutilation is provided as punishment for certain crimes. Thus, a slave girl was not allowed to go veiled in public, and for violating such ordinance her ears were to be cut off. The lack of legal protection available for a married woman is evidenced by one law stating: “Leaving aside the penalties relating to a married woman which are inscribed on the tablet, a man may flog his wife, pull out her hair, split and injure her ears. There is no legal guilt (involved) in it.”—Everyday Life in Babylonia and Assyria, by H. W. F. Saggs, 1965, p. 152.

this concept occured to me while watching a program about the "last great ape"--the bonobo. it contrasted the behavior of bonobos and chimps--both of which share with humans over 98% of our DNA.
bonobos are peaceful and mildly matriarchal, mothers are there for their kids their whole lives, and they have sex all the time, females stick together against males that try to mistreat them. chimps are violent, strongly patriarchal- with males often killing each other, beating females, committing infanticide-- they must compete for mates. females fend for themselves and are often "loners" and are easy targets for male attacks.

it occurred to me that we could learn from the bonobos. if women were to stick together more, instead of competing and working against each other it would prevent women from being overpowered. and if sex were less restricted, that would possibly prevent turmoil. and mothering is also a key element--to raise our children to respect each other, regardless of gender.

The word "lady" is often used interchangeably with "woman" regardless of the character of the person.

Do you do that? If so, is it because the word lady is easier to say? Or, is it because you believe that all women are "ladies" by virtue of their gender? (e.g. "bag lady")

Likewise, does being male automatically make one a gentleman?
