It's like getting kicked in the nuts in front of everybody!! A low blow as people would like to call it. Or having someone veryclose to you die on your birthday..it ruins it for them. So if you're trying to ruin Valentines Day for them then go ahead. If you're a nice guy wait a few days!!!

Simple answer: A decent, self-respecting man would not do that, even if the woman had caused him great harm.
Background: Someone I know well was trying to coordinate to provide divorce papers to the person who would give them to his wife, and the day suggested was today, 2/14, but the person just thought of it as "next Wednesday". The insensitive person who suggested that is one of the best female friends of the wife. The husband txtd her and said that although he had already waited months for her schedule to allow for this to happen, even he was not an A**hole enough to do it on that day. Yes, that self-respecting man is divorcing a shrew who did not know what she had, and is now soo arrogant she will probably never realize what a REAL man she had, a man of honor, a man of respect for himself and for her, that could no longer live with her ego and indifference.

A divorce or a break-up on Valentine's day would be a really bad idea for any man to do to his girlfriend/wife. This day is very different than any other day to us and it's actually somewhat embarrassing to say that you have broken up on Valentine's day. This day means the world to many girls, today is when couples get together and show how much they love each other how much the other means to them. Breaking up with her could ruin that day for a long time.

one day is as bad as another, what about the day after Valentines day, Thinking We were so happy on Valentines day so what happened. I truly believe that a request for a divorce doesn't comes out of the blue. How many can say I never saw it coming. not to many

No I don't think it is going to be different on Valentine's Day than any other day.
What a great story though - I imagine it would go something like this. "Can you believe my husband asked for a divorce on Valentine's Day?" "No, what a complete and insensitive jack@ss you should have let him go long before he asked you for a divorce."

I would say OK. I would be very upset. But if he wants one that bad to wait until Valentine's Day to ask, then it's not even worth being with him. Although, I would make it a point to be very vengeful during proceedings. Make his life a living hell!
Be careful what you wish for!

No I don't think it would be any different, not a good thing on any day, except if both parties are utterly unhappy with each other and want to be apart, it could be for the better.

I think it would be extremely insensitive, and if one was that miserable they could have asked the day before. Wow, that would be a tough one to handle. One of those unforgettable moments in life. I think if someone did that they were in a great deal of pain and bent on revenge. God bless****

I guess it would hurt more. But if the relationship is in shambles, wouln't lying and acting as if nothing is wrong be worse? Pain lasts so long, but you can't live a lie. Doesn't matter what day it is.
