I'm trying to sway my brother away from constantly doing this nasty habit. Does anyone know of any way it could impact your life? It's become a very intense debate, and began as a simple argument, haha. Thanks for your thoughts. ;)

Okay, I'm concerned because this person is really nice and is hilarious...like she seriously makes anyone laugh. She's pretty, and she works out and everything seems fine. But on the inside she's boiling and she's pissed at everyone, she's paranoid and she thinks everybody hates her. She has a conscience and she's concerned about what she does, but not as much as she should be, she gets irrate to the point that she would love to kill the person she's pissed at, esp. her parents. She has no responsiblilty for her actions and she feels like her parents are out to kill her or hate her. Everyone expects her to have a boyfriend but she doesn't and hasn't had one in a long time and maybe she thinks it's because she puts out the "crazy" front, even though she makes sure to put on her "happy" mask in the morning. Her mom's afraid to sleep w/ her door unlocked b/c she doesn't want to get stabbed in sleep, even though she's never tried it? ...It's me and do you think something's wrong. Help?

was just recently diagnosed as BDP. i had been in a relationship with a girl who gave me all the love and support in the world. however, it was a long distance relationship and i think the separation from her is what triggered my symptoms to increase. she tried to reason to me but i started to rage over the internet and it eventually caused her to break up with me. now we aren't even speaking. i apologized for hurting her and told her i was sick. i called her too many times that she probably thinks i'm a stalker. she said that nothing will get better right now, but i think she'd be happier to never talk to me again. she'll always remember me as her psycho ex, despite all the happy times we spent together.

has anyone been in this situation before? how do i get over the "what if"s- what if i wasn't sick, what if i had been calmer that night. because the answer to that is we'd probably be happy together. how do you forget and move on, when all you are left is an empty self and a disorder that took away the best thing to ever happen to you?

When you think about it this actually makes sense because we are products of our environment after all. Personally I wouldn't be very fond of something like this. Many other people are likely to agree. I hate it when my mother tells me that she was like me at my age. Obviously I'm not open to believing or accepting such a thing.

I was in the main road where i live, with my friends when suddenly we turned around to see an army dressed in black and blue was marching towards us shooting guns. We ran in the opposite direction to see more army soldiers marching towards us from there as well. I cannot completely remember being taken, but the next thing i remember is being held in a kind of scaffolding structure - in blocks (one person per block). If anybody did anything wrong they were shot immediately. I definitely saw people being shot in the head etc.. I remember being terrified and extremely worried for my friends and family. I know that everyone i knew was there, and more people i didn't. But i seemed to be most worried about somebody that i no longer have much contact with - my ex. We split up on a bad note and haven't really spoken much recently - however over Christmas we have been civil and spoken to each other.
I dont know what this means! Please help :) xxxx

Can anyone confirm if she lost her job because of this comment? I believe she did not, which is no surprise as feminists remain unpunished for anything they do.

This is not a new issue, but you see knee-jerk reactions about men on here.
Perhaps prejudice? Perhaps because of other men's actions? Maybe because they disagree with you(if you don't agree with me, you must be wrong mentality or better described as Bush's "Either you're with me or against me" mentality)?
I do realize that some trolls may treat some women the same, but this is apart from trolls.

Feminism and masculism are two sides of the same coin. Are feminists basically anti-masculists? Are those who have been branded as "anti-feminist" and/or "misogynists" are actually just "masculist" and that many so called "feminists" are actually "anti-masculist" and "misandrists"?

Does anyone think the distinction is kind of silly anyway?

And how about this? What if the "traditional role of women" is overhyped as being "oppressive" and the "traditional role of men" is overhyped as being free and dominant? What if these supposedly "traditional male-instituted roles" were in fact established by women? It seems quite likely.

Okay so picture this!....
We are having a school christmas program on the top story of a hotel. It is cold and rainy outside.
It is the little kids turn to sing their song.
They are standing against the windows and jumping on and off them.
It is a little girl's turn to go, but she is nowhere to be seen where she is supposed to jump up.
Next thing, she pops up from outside; looking like a chucky doll.
She looks all dizzy and freaky and falls down all 23 stories(outside).
I start crying and all the teachers rush outside to catch her.
They catch her and she is safe.
They find out her dad is sextuallly abusing her.

I hope this was detailed enough, please help lol

Because women's work is never done and is underpaid or unpaid or boring or repetitious and we're the first to get fired and what we look like is more important than what we do and if we get raped it's our fault and if we get beaten we must have provoked it and if we raise our voices we're nagging bitches and if we enjoy sex we're nymphos and if we don't we're frigid and if we love women it's because we can't get a "real" man and if we ask our doctor too many questions we're neurotic and/or pushy and if we expect childcare we're selfish and if we stand up for our rights we're aggressive and "unfeminine" and if we don't we're typical weak females and if we want to get married we're out to trap a man and if we don't we're unnatural and because we still can't get an adequate safe contraceptive but men can walk on the moon and if we can't cope or don't want a pregnancy we're made to feel guilty about abortion and...for lots of other reasons we are part of the women's liberation movement. ~Author unknown, quoted in The Torch, 14 September 1987

My little cousin (15 y.o.) loves to watch calves getting castrated. She thinks is funny and she even said that she would like to learn. In my point of view is just a cruel but necessary and often done procedure. Is there something wrong with her? Or is this something that only girls can understand? What is funny about this?
