Catherine Comins, Vassar College,
Assistant Dean of Student Life in Time, June 3, 1991, p. 52

Can anyone confirm if she lost her job because of this comment? I believe she did not, which is no surprise as feminists remain unpunished for anything they do.

Catharine Comins wasn't speaking as a feminist there. She was speaking as an administrator trying desperately to cover her *** after a major slip-up.

And if we went around firing people for that the White House would be half-empty and short a president.

Actually... I have no problem with that.

I notice how the sexism from feminists is always explained away with similar comments as Kate's.

No matter how many clear examples of prominent feminists with comments containing MASSIVE amounts of sexism, it's never enough for them to wear the "sexist" label.

Teflon feminists are never sexist I guess.

They can say horribly sexist things that other feminists do not counter with opposition & yet there is never any accountability.

Isn't it convenient for Kate that Comins "wasn't speaking as a feminist there." No, she took off her feminist badge while she made that comment & when she was done with the sentence, she put the feminist badge back on. "OK, I'm a feminist again!"

That was hilarious. Thanks Kate.

To answer the question: There is no record of her losing her job that I know of.

Hmm... all the regular feminists I see around here never seem to respond to your questions...

I'm sure it's just a coincidence!

That is downright wrong. It's like saying.
"Young girls who become unwed mothers deserve it for sleeping around."

Why don't you research it legitimately, if that misogynistic website didn't tell you?
