In your quest to dismantle the sinister Patriarchy wherever ye may find it, have you ever conceded or even noticed that there are some components which have served, and will continue to serve humanity well if only you stop resenting them on principle?

"In the patriarchy, the worth of a mother or the expectations of a mother are determined/constructed by dominant themes of the dominant gender."
Agree or disagree and why?

Several studies all over the western world have shown that women lie about who is the father of their child between 10 and 40% of the time. Average is 22%, so as a man if you have 5 children in all probability one of them isn't actually yours.

With figures like that how can a man trust any woman?

Police and masked adults shoot at each other as hundreds crawl or run for shelter. You can try to hide in a book shop, risk assisting people shot down, run to a distant exit
risking being shot in the back, or have you another idea?

they are last in line....after waiting for a while she asks a nurse how many people are a head of them. She is told 15 people. A man who was next in line over heard the conversation, and asked to change places with her son. Within minutes of do so, other patients offered him their place, just so he would not be last in line. This is a true story. What are your thoughts.

I don't really know why but I'm just not happy anymore. I recently moved to Chicago to go to college and I feel miserable. I have virtually two freinds since school started. I am naturally an introvert, artistic type of person. I have so much free time on my hands that I retreat into my imagination. Basically I'm like the guy on Science of Sleep. But I'm not having fun. I'm not happy with myself or my life and wonder if all I do is dream. And if those dreams of the future, career, relationships will ever be a reality. I desperately want to make a big change in the world. That is my number #1 goal in life. But my own self doubt, loneliness, unhappiness keeps me from doing it. I don't consider myself unattractive, I have lots of ambition and intelligence. Its just that I constantly doubt myself and have a difficult time interacting with the students at my school because they are all shallow, "lets get wasted every weekend" type of people. And I don't want to do that. Help!

I'm always "downing" myself. Whenever I write a paper or take an exam, I say to myself "I failed" or "I did horribly"....then I get the exam or paper back and I got an A. When I have to peer review other students' research papers I always think theirs are so much better than mine and I end up getting a better grade.

For instance, I just wrote a research paper and thought it was awful. I was embarrassed to turn it in. I ended up getting a 92% .The average class grade was 56%

I'm a senior in college with a 3.7 gpa and I wonder to myself how I did so well...or I think that my professors obviously don't know bad work when they see it.

I'm this way at work as well. I'm always doubting myself and think I'm incompetent. Where did this stem from? What can I do to change my self destructive thoughts?

Hi!
If a guy walks up to you, completely randomly (no previous introduction, acquaintance) and says "Hey! What high school do you go to?" is that considered 'flirting'? or is it just friendly interest?

I'm doing a case study and I need some assistance.

Problem:
The kid's parents were divorced when he was very young, and he has no contact with his father since he was 5 years old.

Would this experience impact him more psychologically or anthropologically? And he later grows up to be a lonely and easily angered teenager. What could of affected him?

Kind of off strand... would a person reacting with a group of people be sociological or anthropological? Like a boy with friends.

I had a vivid dream about the sun not necessarily exploding, but it looked as if it was stressing out my energy than it does now. Like it was bleeding energy in every direction, it was also dim enough to stare at with the naked eye (like there was no more ultra-violet glare). It was also VERY close to the earth so it appeared about 10 times the size it does now.

This lasted almost half an hour... then the sun simply went out. Pitch black, no sun, no moon. just stars which did not provide any light. The streets went insane, there's no words to describe it.

I knew everyone would die soon without the sun. But I stood there, calm as I can be. pondering what just happened.

The federal reserve banking system has been disigned by bankers to ensure the population is constantly caught up in a cycle of self generating debt that can never be paid off, yet the government has the power to control the circulation of money itself rather than borrow it from a privately run bank at interest. Will either party address this issue?"
