I hate even having to be in the same room as a child, never mind being on a bus or train with one.

I know this probably isn't normal, but i can feel my blood pressure raising rapidly and i start getting inwardly angry when there's a kid about.

I collect dollhouses, and have built a fiew of my own. I put figurines [I don't want to call them dolls] in each dollhouse. My niece came over for a visit, and saw my newly-started collection of dollhouses. She stripped two of the dolls [as in no clothes at all] in one of the dollhouses and put them together in bed in the master bedroom! What is wrong my niece? She's 10, for cryin' out loud!

hmm... It doesn't seem like men do that... women seem to lose themselves in their partner. I know I do... which makes a breakup SO much more difficult. Seriously... why do we do that?

I came to this article...I know, I should be working instead of reading articles (lol). I need a hammer...thanks :-)

The article says:

"Christian men who hate women (religious misogynists) are in some ways more dangerous and destructive in their behavior than their non-Christian counterparts. Secular misogynists do not have the powerful, additional arsenal of church doctrines, God-talk, and the sanctioning of male authority, which comes with the idea of Christian marriage. Christian women are often taught in the church or at home that they should "submit" to men "no matter what" because men are the "spiritual head" over women."

I know a man, like this. He went to another country to find a young wife that would "fear God" and be submissive and do what he says (his words!). Therefore this article interested me.

Thoughts?

I have been having recurring dreams about a man probably 4 nights a week for at least 6 months maybe longer... The man in my dream is the guy I lost my virginity to when I was young. The problem is that we are good friends and he had a daughter with another friend of mine. they have been together since 2001 or so. They are not really happy (told to me by the woman) but they are getting married this september. i cant make these dreams stop. I don't know what they mean if anything. I have tried to tell myself that I am over him and that I am happy for them but maybe these dreams are telling me that I am not. I am not trying to be a "homewrecker" or whatever but I just don't see why I keep having these dreams. I don't really think about him during the day...
any advice would be helpful thanks...

You never completly bonded with any one, ever?

Could this lead to insanity?

"Extra! Extra! A giant asteroid will hit the Earth in 3 days to kill an estimated 92% of all humans on it!"

What do you do?

1) Go as far away possible from the predicted impact zone (hoping to survive)
2) Go as close as possible to the predicted impact zone (quick painless death)
3) Go deep in the ground with food and water to avoid being hit by anything
4) Go up the air (airplane, copter, etc.) to avoid being hit by anything (and see it all!)
5) Commit suicide to die the way you want to die
6) Nothing (why try to avoid the inevitable!)
7) Other (specify)

I was in a tower. There was another tower close to the one where I was. But the towers were tall. I was at the upper floor of the tower, in a large room, the windows had no glass. The time period was sometime around the Middle Ages, judging by the looks of the buildings around. I was not alone, I was with some men, one of whom I remember the most from the dream was a man with black wings. There were boxes full of jewels on a table nearby. When the second tower showed signs of falling, I was warned that we must quit this tower as soon as possible to save our lives, otherwise we would crash with it. All those around me started to agitate, gathering the jewels, trying to save them as well. A group gathered many boxes of jewels, then flew with them high in the sky, and dropped them from the air to fall into what they judged to be the Church from our town. We were so high on the upper floor of the tower, that the Church looked like a sketch. They said we would go back for the jewels afterwards. I myself gathered what I could from the tower, and before leaving I found some more jewels. They were lighter and I had to prepare to hold tight to the winged man in order to escape. At first I thought I would end up by sliding and falling from his back, then we finally made it. We were all alive and safe on the ground. Now what we had left to do was to go into the Church and get back the big amount of jewelry, which belonged to us. Unfortunately, we found out that the group had dropped, by mistake, our jewelry into another Church somewhere in the East. That town did not belong to us, and by law not even our own jewellry, we had no right to it; we could only get it if we got approval from their Church, which was impossible, as they would never give us anything, neither approval, nor our own jewellry. We ended up by stealing it, we had to steal what belonged to us in order to get it back. And they regarded us as thieves, they who actually were stealing what belonged to us...

Some people think our economy will be damaged when the U.S. population plateaus (because parents are finding large families too expensive).

But if you look at countries with serious overpopulation problems like Haiti and Rwanda, it's obvious that when the population exceeds the available resources, the economy crashes.

Any economists out there who can clarify the relationship between population size and the health of an economy?

Do you ever get vibes or instincts about things/people/events? That, no matter how hard you try to convince yourself otherwise, something just feels WRONG? There's no apparent rational explanation, at least at first.
If you do, are you usually right? Do you usually find out something later on that justifies your bad reaction? Or does it just vanish?
