Do you ever get vibes or instincts about things/people/events? That, no matter how hard you try to convince yourself otherwise, something just feels WRONG? There's no apparent rational explanation, at least at first.
If you do, are you usually right? Do you usually find out something later on that justifies your bad reaction? Or does it just vanish?

I get them all the time, sometimes I'm wrong, and I realise this. Mostly when they're vague feelings - like I'll have a sort of sense of foreboding, but nothing bad will happen to me. But, often, when I've got feelings about people or events, I've been right. And this one isn't going away. It's trivial in the scheme of things, but it's wearing me down.

Thanks for the answers guys, keep them coming!

Unfortunately, I get this alot. I have dreams before things or events happen, not all the time just when something is somehow connected to me.

My granddad passed away this year and I felt him pass, just a sick feeling, and when I lost my baby, I knew before the pains started.

The best thing about gut instincts is when you're meeting someone new, have to say I'm usually 99.9% right every time.

I think everyone should go with there gut instict, but be willing to accept when they're wrong, they're wrong.

Yep, I think this is instinct! I have heard that women tend to have stronger gut instincts than men about a lot of stuff....this might also translate as they worry more!
I was due to go to a festival in Serbia recently called the exit festival, and was travelling around slovenia first. I got a bad feeling about the festival (although i have been to various ones around the same area and loved them)and me and my boyfriend decided not to go - he thought i was just being a spoilsport but I had a strong feeling something would go wrong.

3 people got killed (crushed) in the crowd at the Prodigy set (where we undoubtedly would have been dancing away had we gone), many of our friends got injured including a couple of broken ribs, and one friend took too much of something or other and had to go to hospital.all fun and games. although some peple would say this is normal festival risks, european festivals arent like british ones...theyre usually so civilised!

Yes Defiantly!
I don't get it as often as I used to, but when I was younger I would get it quite often, especially when pal talked me into doing things.
There was once when I was persuaded to show friend where something was, cause they didn't know how to get to it.
Being younger than them I made them promise to leave in time to get me home. Of course they didn't & I had to travel home on my own.
There was another time when I decided to visit a friend who was on holiday at a butlins camp. I ended up having to was about 6 miles in the pouring rain down a very long country road that a woman had ben car jacked & murdered on just a couple of weeks before. (I was only about 12 at the time & didn't know it was the same road.)
When I got to the closest town, I realise I didn't have enough money for train fair home & bought a ticket to a closes towm where I had relatives staying, I then had to walk about another 2 miles to get to their house.
on both of these occassions, I had a huge forebodding feeling before hand & knew I really shouldn't have been doing these things.

Yes, I, too, have instincts that tell me when something is not right. Most of the time my instincts are right (about 99%), but there have been situations when I was wrong. Yes, and there are times when something happens later that I think back and say that is why this person did this or that and I had that thought.

Always trust your instincts mine have never been wrong, when i was younger i used to wonder why i took an instant dislike to certain people (not many) now i do listen to them. They are like strange feelings that you have without asking for them. I read a good book recently called BLINK by Malcolm Gladwell. He gives loads of good examples like speed dating - you don`t need to go on 6 months dates to find out if someone is right for you, your subconscious can make that decision in a few seconds. Fascinating.

I get that feeling a lot and not just when I'm lighting the barbeque!

I think it's just because I'm a worrier and always seem to think the worst.

Normally my feelings are wrong and vanish away!

Tis called gut instinct and often works out to be true.

Just cos you can't describe it in words doesnt stop your brain computing the evidence and coming to a conclusion.

It often pays to follow your instinct, I have sometimes had a vibe and it has paid off to follow my instinct. Go with yours.
