It depends on if you are full time or part time. Full time teller get benefits so they are paid less per hour usually around $8.50 or $9 per hour with the new raise in the minimum wage. If you are part time, since you don't get benefits you receive more per hour payment in your check, especially in hard to fill time slots, usually around $15 per hour and upwards from there. Obviously, large metropolitan areas pay more than smaller cities and towns, but that gives you an idea.

Here in Georgia where I live, bank tells make less than Mcdonalds workers and gas station cashiers. The bank I applied to started tellers at $7.00 and hour. I could make at least $7.50 at race trak or mcdonalds and I don't got to wear a dress.

$9-15 hr on national average. Tellers are glorified retail cashiers. Not a high paying position.

In Michigan about 4 years ago I started out at 9.50

im in virginia and its about $12.25 an hour.
