All these people saying educate them are failing to see one thing. Some people just cannot be taught! Some don't care to learn, others just cannot learn more than a few things.

How do you make the poor rich? Simple: Take everything away from the rich. No don't give it to the poor, just take it from the rich. Now the previously poor people will feel rich simply because they have something. The previously rich people now have nothing and are now poor. What I am saying is that there will always be the "poor" people. They are only the least rich people.

First you have to kill the new mother culture. She's that nasty wench that makes people believe they have to have a large screen TV, 3 cell phones, 4 cars, several nights a week at the bars, eating dinner out 5 times a week, $2000.00 highschool prom dates, 35-50 thousand dollar weddings, Tommy Hilfiger clothes, $300.00 tennis shoes, just to name a few things.

You get the idea. It's called living within your means. I know some really don't have enough to live within their means but I would also guess in that case, education has been lacking or at least job skills.

Getting a job at 16 and starting something towards college or savings. I know it is an old-fashioned concept and not always the most pleasant because it involves some self-denial.

I think probably 95 % of the people in this country can save more if they just lived within their means.

By the way, I am not rich, but middle class and I semi-retired at age 51. The original story was called " The ant and the grasshopper"

The standard of the poor people can be improved by the following ways :
- Providing adequate employment to all eligible people;
- Improving their skill by providing traing in their trade of choice;
- Make them learn the fundamental things about life so that they do not get cheated;
- Creating trade centres for the products made by poor rural handicrafts and workers;
- Providing good quality raw material to the artisans and required facilities like electricity, water etcfor making good quality products;
- Providing Bank Loans to Artisans, Handi craft experts, cobblers and similar professionals for starting their own business

hhhmmmmnnnnnnnn a nice question.well there is no direct way to make the rich because if someone would give them 1 crore rs they wont know how to manage it and would be cheated and looted by everyone.
