Sometimes you can tell that someone is staring at you or if someone is coming into a room and you have your eyes closed.

What is it that makes us sense this.

I try to accept things as they are and make the most of a situation Yet I am rarely happy. I think sometimes this is because I recognise that the life is too short and that you have to do as much as you can in the time you have. When I think this way I get stressed about not doing what I want to do and I spend so much of my time planning and not doing. Any suggestions to get around this?

I keep thinking that if I'm happy, then life or fate is going to come along and smack me down.
I think that I'm not allowed to be happy or successful without dire consequences.
Is this weird?

Whenever I hear something horrible, I have the urge to laugh hysterically, and often do. But I feel dreaful while I am doing it. It is just so wrong to laugh- but why do I do that when I really feel like crying?

I have a friend who has classic dyslexia -- reverses words while reading, sometimes while speaking (she'll sometimes say hoppergrass instead of grasshopper. But when it comes to 'reading' people's emotions she is amazing. She can pick up a person's personality or mood immediately. She can also figure out movies almost supernaturally. Ex. We were watching a John Grisham movie, and after 5 minutes, she whispered exactly who was going to be the good guy and who would be the bad guy--and she never saw or read it. I also read a book by a psychologist who claims his research shows similar findings. Have you had direct experience with this phenomenon--either because you have dyslexia or have a good friend with it?

why do skeptics take issue with people feeling good while solving a problem? guilt is a powerful motivator, why can't happiness be too? not every solution must be painful, and every little bit helps. so long as they work, why do people belittle 'feel-good' solutions?

I should start by saying that tornados are one of the only things I'm afraid of in life, even though I've never experienced one. But, I have tornado dreams all the time. They are scary but not necessarily nightmares. It usually involves me spotting one or several tornados and pointing them out to the people I'm with. No one else is as concerned as I am and I'm always trying to get everyone to safety. But, in the end the tornado never hits us. Only in one dream, it actually hit and someone I was with got sucked out a window. So, any insights will be helpful.

“Class is meaningless,” argues Sartre; however, according to de Selby [1], it is not so much class that is meaningless, but rather the meaninglessness, and therefore the defining characteristic, of class. However, if capitalist feminism holds, we have to choose between textual capitalism and neodialectic theory. Any number of dialetics concerning not desublimation as such, but subdesublimation exist, of course. The subject is contextualised into a neotextual paradigm of expression that includes culture as a reality.

If one examines modernist theory, one is faced with another choice: either reject the subdeconstructive paradigm of discourse or conclude that this is part of the dialectic, given that the premise of capitalist feminism is valid.

Discuss.
