Success by definition can only be a good thing, the curse comes from mis-understanding the personal meaning of success to you.
Are you successful if you have lots of cash and are unhappy?
Or a big house and a life threatening illness?
Success I believe is about now, appreciating the things you have, demonstrating love, knowing yourself and deleting from your life all the negatives like materialism, greed,selfishness and pain.
Success really comes to those who look for it; but you must be sure what your looking for.

The obsession to succeed, in only the manner dictated by the media, would not only be a curse, it would leave you feeling that you have wasted your life on a completely pointless goal. (If you think that I'm wrong, you're in for a BIG shock!) Most people, fortunately, never succeed in that manner, and those that do become obsessed with the financial gain associated with that kind success. There are many ways to succeed in life and making a lot of money is probably the worst.

Success is like anything else in life, it can take over the same as failure, if you allow it to happen. One can be successful and still have a life, and be healthy, if one is smart enough to be able to separate life from work.

WELL, LOOK AT THE KENNEDYS.
THEY HAVE PAID A HEAVY PRICE FOR THEIR SUCCESS.
LOOK WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO A LOT OF THE LOTTERY WINNERS....REAL TRAGEDY'S.
LOOK AT ALL OF THESE GIRLS THAT HAVE GOTTEN THEMSELVES IN TROUBLE...LOHAN, PARIS HILTON, ETC.
WE KNOW THINGS HAPPEN TO ALL ALIKE BUT LOOK AT THE SPORTS FIGURES THAT HAVE HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE.
ON THE OTHER HAND, LOOK AT BILL GATES AND WIFE HOW THEY HAVE HANDLED THEIR SUCCESS. THEY SHARE THEIR SUCCESS WITH OTHERS...
MONEY CAN BUY HAPPINESS, YES IT CAN.
