i heard this when i was younger and it made me become a much happier person. The things we worry about are often fruitless and we dont even notice the things we SHOULD worry about - so there is NO POINT in worrying as you are ultimately worrying about the wrong thing. what was the phrase which turned around the way you percieve the world??

I see your question was removed for obvious reasons. If you're not a coward, I'm still waiting for you to back up your assertion. How do you figure that Baba Yaga is a liar? I'd like to see some sources, too, if you don't mind. She always seems to have them.

Now you can share an not get busted by those that know you. Do you have a dark sexual secret, a need to steal, a demon inside that vandalizes things, or other unacceptable behaviors. I'm vegetarian, and the other day when someone offered me a sausage roll I responded by saying "Sorry I'm vegetarian." to which they laughed and said "No need to apologise!"
Set me thinking, some other things I have apologised for in my time:
- Being English (when living in Wales)
- Not being able to drive
- Having a degree (admittedly this was semi-sarcastic response to the "graduates are all useless posh kids" mantra at a place I used to work)
- NOT smoking (yes you read that right)
- not having a second glass of wine.

So what other bizarre things have you found yourself saying sorry for? Why do we feel the need to excuse ourselves from perfectly natural inoffensive things?

If women are paid less than men for the same job, is it because they are not demanding more pay?

In a capitalistic society, whose fault is that?

Capitalism is about free market, open competition.

A woman has equal opportunity to negotiate (demand) her salary as a man. Is it not HER responsiblity to negotiate with the employer.

I have two billable consultants (one woman, one man) who make more money than me. They 'command' it. Neither would accept a penny less, much to may chagrin.

As an employer, I pay according to a "range. The employee negotiates their best salary. As a small business owner, I only pay what I MUST pay (capitalism).

If two equally qualified people are paid differently, it is because one "accepted" (not was assigned) less than the other.

It is NOT personal. It IS business.

It is NOT discrimination based on sex, gender, age, or whatever.

It is simply the way capitalism works.

I am a very intelligent person with bright Ideas, and a very good understanding of the world, and many things... I just have a problem
A. carrying on conversations
B. expressing ideas from inside my mind to out of my mouth

I feel so stupid sometimes because Words don't flow out of my mouth so well, and i often just say random idiodic phrases...
example convo.

me: "So do you have any spoon lures?"
clerk: "No, I don't believe we do, but those are a very good lure to have"
me: " yeah, I catch fish alot"

and then i'll put my head down and walk away because of how stupid i sounded

Couple of years ago, my husband and I rented an apartment (it was in a closed complex, and had a cemetery right under our windows). He had a night job, so I had to sleep there all by myself. Once, I woke up in the middle of the night, and saw this pretty intense bright blue light traveling from my left side of the bed and around it to my right side. All of a sudden, there was this tall hooded figure, surrounded by even brighter blue light, and he slowly was walking around the bed to my side. Finally, when he was right next to me, he extended his long finger, and touched my arm. I felt like there was an electricty buzz, and then I "woke up". The room was empty, but I had this complete feeling of terror. I turned on all the lights, a TV, and called my hubby right away. He said it was a dream, but I am sure it wasn't. When you see a dream and wake up from it, you always know that it was a dream, but not in this case. And everything in the room was the same.
