You are the regional sales manager of an organization that supplies high-quality windows and doors to building supply centers nationwide. Over the last three years, the rate of sales growth has slackened. There is increasing evidence that, to make their jobs easier, salespeople are primarily servicing large customer accounts and ignoring small accounts. In addition, the salespeople are not dealing promptly with customer questions and complaints, and this inattention has resulted in a drop in after sales service. You have talked about these problems with top–management and you are going to design a control system to increase both the amount of sales and the quality of customer service.

1. Design a control system that you think will best motivate salespeople to achieve these goals.

2. What relative importance do you put on output control, behavior control and organizational culture in this design

QUESTION REPORT
Question # 006
Subject/Topic: Ghosts...No such thing (or is there?)
Time Posted: 03/13/07 @ 19:55 MDT

Dear Yahooligans:

The following question relates to the subject ghosts. The majority of people will have a chill down their spine when they hear this frightening word. Some people would be eager to meet ghosts and some will be more than happy to meet these mysterious "things". I personally will have a chill down my spine, regardless if the ghost is friendly or, especially, "not-so-friendly".
If you have ever saw a ghost, or has a TRUE ghost story to share with us, please tell us and we all will be more than happy to hear it. You can also tell us of any evidence that shows that ghosts exists. When sharing your story, please attach the following at the end of your story:

1) The setting/place where you/someone you know experienced the haunting, and
2) If you belive in ghosts or not.

Thanks!

There are people afraid of cauliflowers and staplers. Is it really hard to believe that some are actually afraid of their own shadow?

I personally belive in some science facts as technology advances. For example it is hard to argue that the Earth isn't round. This just an example. However as a Methodist I do have my religous beliefs. I pray every night, to help strenghtnen my own belief.

I belive a person can have science and religon beleifs about existence and other matters. Mainly because I am one of those people.

However some people said I can't have both scientific and religous beliefs. I need to choose one according to them.

What do you think?

I just have a lot on my plate. I don't sleep well at night. I constantly want to cry all the time, and I just don't know what to do. I am stressed out at school with grading period coming and I just don't know whether or not I should enlist in professional help. I want to make sure that it is nothing that could effect me seriously. I don't know why I am crying all the time, but I am only a 15 year old so there must be something more to it. It am happy with my relationship and everything is fine at home. I just toss and turn at night and I don't sleep, and then I have an overload at the end of the day and I just crash...help me please!

it's strange. i'm like two different people. at school, i'm the quiet, nonchalant, easy-going, reserved, smart kid. People don't know me for who I am. I'm not shy, everyone just sees me one way and I live up to that.

When I'm in india, or certain places, or alone, i'm a whole other person. i'm outgoing, i dance randomly, and break out in song, i'm suddenly beautiful. sometimes the way i make it through a bad day is imagining that i'm the person that i know i can be. am i crazy or is this normal? to want to be someone else and know you can be but just only in some places

I find myself doing this constantly. I think that everyone shows a little bit of ourselves in our questions and answers, even when we take on avatars and online personae, and so I just get curious and wonder who is really there.

I wonder if there are others out there who do this as well.
