I disagree. I think some people are naturally agressive because of unfulfilled social needs and a desire for superiority. Thye pick physical fights with people they know they can dominate. Every pugnacious prson has their own reason, but, there are tons of just violent peple. Case in point: aggravated assault counts for the majority of crimes commited in the USA.

I think you're right, for the most part. I've found that wanting to have a fight comes primarily with two things: a) alcohol or b) highly-charged emotions. Without either of them, I think close to 95% of people would actively avoid a fight.
Me, I can take care of myself if the need arises, but on every occasion where someone has tried to start a fight, I've walked away, because unless there's some massive reason for it, fighting is pointless. The same with my friends, too - and a lot of them are in the Royal Navy, so the 'manly bravado' often associated with wanting fights is a large part of their lives.
Some people do want physical fights a lot when not intoxicated/influenced by emotion, but I think that's down to a need for attention, or a need to prove something to themselves or their friends. I think these people account for less than 5% of the general population, at least where I live (UK).

NO!
Some love to fight. Some desire to control and enslave others...world history is full of war and conquest just for the sake of power. As a man I like physical battle, but not killing.
If world conflicts could be settled in a boxing ring and not on a battle ground, think of how much life, money and energy would be saved.
Maybe one of those minds lost to the battle field had a cure for the common cold....just ah thought...

Yeah I think you're right. Most people are wussies. People who pick verbal fights are doing it because they're insecure and have a big ego.
A lot of these types of people will pick a fight and then when you fight back, they back off and say, "why are you getting all defensive?". Like you're supposed to just let them verbally attack you. It's pretty bad. They're just bullies.

Um, that was a movie, which isn't necessarily how real people act.
A lot of people tend to avoid fights; some people go to great lengths to avoid them; some people love them and go to great lengths to have them.
In the case you describe, they are asking people who don't like to fight to invent reasons to fight innocent people for no good reason.
If most people would do ANYTHING go avoid a fight, why are there as many fights as there are?

I agree that MOST people would try to avoid fighting, unfortunately however, there are those who seem to look for reasons to fight & hurt others.

In most cases, people will probably do. But, if reputation and for their love one is involve, they will stand to fight.
