Personally, I am not much of a theist. I believe in spirituality and higher consciousness, but not as far as organized religions go. I started reading up on some of the recent findings in quantum physics...and it's amazing. Much of it seems like a cross between scientific and spiritual findings.
I think it's important to keep an open mind.

We have a wonderful leader who will forever be known as the "great divider". His quote you are either for us or against us divided a nation and made it ok for so many who feel that way to lay seige to the other side. Good science and good religion do not contradict each other, there is no need for it. Each has its place and both can work together to strengthen the other. I do not, however, believe the bogus science being preached about the age of the universe or such. That is wrong on so many levels. You should know that the vast majority of the population agrees with you.

Well, I'm sort of middle ground. I wont believe in the Super string Theory or that some immortal being created the universe unless there is proof that establishes an existence, because there are actually theories that we are a highly advanced form of "the sims" created by some highly advanced alien technology. It's not possible (in our own little universe), but it is probable.

human beings don't think in technology as one in all those worship, so your evaluation fails. technology is everywhere, from the laptop you typed your question directly to the interior your very own gut. faith is a few thing that provides you one in all those stability for many individuals. If it weren't for the followers, i think of faith standard is a incredibly good ingredient for the international, when you consider that many human beings locate some sort of peace in it. And who're we to sentence others for that? i'm a scientist myself, and not religious (a minimum of, no longer an organised faith). i've got faith interior the supernatural in my very very own little way.

Hello. In my opinion you can believe parts of both. In my opinion it is each person that chooses their path through life. Like, I was baptized as a catholic but I wasn't raised as one. My religious experience is in a non-denominational church. I think that a person shouldn't have to just follow one.

Of course, most religions don't argue against science, but crazy fundamentalists just try to twist it for their own purposes.

why believe in one? science is not about disproving god. it's about understanding his creation. to get closer to god one has to understand, no? believing in science does not diminish the power of god. science helps to clear some of the mist in our eyes, but one has to believe in religion as well, if they have this mind set, so that they can see the light.

science is sth logical...based on numbers and only numbers
religion and God is based on sth extraordinary sth that numbers cannot interpret. so my opinion is that on your work u r using science just to make ur head easier and to save u time but not to solve ur depression or sadness or weaknesses (examples). to solve this things we need sth bigger than a nuclear factory...
