The price of oil, despite adjustments to inflation was what in the 1940s? 1950s? 1960s? 1970s? 1980s? 1990s? How are the prices determined? Was it by a particular association?

Gorgy, a recent arrival from a land-locked part of the old USSR has found employment in the Chirpy Chippy and cooks the most gorgeous fish, succulent, firm, white and wrapped in golden batter, served with chips, crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Okay, he is illegal but surely his citizenship would be automatic if he applied?

I just got done watching "Cold Case".The story was about a massacre at a shopping mall and the perpatrators were two high school boys and a girl.It showed absolute carnage and was extremely graphic.Don't you think there are some kids who might relate to the shooters and want to emulate them?

I know this is a cliche and commonly asked question but I'm bored, just downed a bottle of wine and can't stop thinking about a certain someone. I just can't help questioning if this is due to love for this person or something else. I can safely say I've never been in love before (even tho I have 2 kids and spent nearly eight unhappy years with their father). I have been single for 4 years, love my independance but finally feel ready for real love. So why did I have to fall for someone in a position that could prove extremely difficult to form a romantic relationship with? Is this just me craving something I cannot have or what????

Im not sure...but for some reason lately I've felt so depressed. I feel like the whole world is pointing and laughing at me saying, "Oh look! There's that one girl! She's such a screw up!" my parents dont make it any better either...They're always pointing out my faults, never the good things i do. And when i try talking to them about it, they always blow me off and say im overeacting and need to suck it up. I know they love me, but we never see eye to eye on anything. Have you ever felt this way about someting? What was is about? How'd you feel?

Bob and Lynne have MBA's. They earn 6 figures annually. They live in a lavish home and would rather pay someone then learn how to do the cooking, cleaning and repairs pertaining to their home and cars.

Mike and Carrie are both average high school grads. Mike is a mechanic who runs an auto repair shop. Carrie owns a small cleaning business with her sisters. The couple recently built a small 3 bedroom rancher with the help of a friend of Mike's. They never needed a contractor. Carrie also grows her own vegetables and is a master cook.

Bob and Lynne look down on Mike and Carrie. They claim they are less than they are just because they drive older cars, live in a modest home and get their hands dirty for a living.

Who is smarter? The college grad or the high school grad?

Because I am a woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say, "She doesn't have what it takes." They will say, "Women don't have what it takes." ~Clare Boothe Luce

I myself have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is: I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a door mat or a prostitute. ~Rebecca West, "Mr Chesterton in Hysterics: A Study in Prejudice," The Clarion, 14 Nov 1913, reprinted in The Young Rebecca, 1982

Never let the hand you hold, hold you down. ~Author Unknown

I, with a deeper instinct, choose a man who compels my strength, who makes enormous demands on me, who does not doubt my courage or my toughness, who does not believe me naïve or innocent, who has the courage to treat me like a woman. ~Anaïs Nin

I have some friends.. but you can count them.. Maybe because I'm shy... I dont speak unless spoken to.. But I can speak english very fluently... and they can understand me easily... (I came from an english speaking country)
1 of my problem is I get so shy during conversations... Or.. I'm not even that confident to say "hi"... I mean... back from my homeland... I'm super confident.. I have tons and tons of friends... I dont know what happened to me... or is it just natural in the first months?? and.. another thing, I'm super shy in our class participation... We already had like... 3 weeks of class and I have recited only 5 times.. I'm shy.. because I dont want to see people laughing at me specially when times like I make mistakes with my speech..
I would just like to know.. are asians viewed as... like...
"under" the whites or something...? well.. tnx for your advices!!! GODBLESS!!
