I just got done watching "Cold Case".The story was about a massacre at a shopping mall and the perpatrators were two high school boys and a girl.It showed absolute carnage and was extremely graphic.Don't you think there are some kids who might relate to the shooters and want to emulate them?

You can answer this for yourself. After watching the movie/tv show, does it make you feel like getting two of your closest friends, going to a mall and killing a whole bunch of people?

If someone feels like killing someone or committing criminal acts then there is something much more wrong with the person then the movies they watch or the video games they play.

As times change, more things become aceptible to view in the media. As parents, THEY are the ones in charge of what their child views; not the kids. All televisions come equipt with such wonderful inovative things as remotes and buttons to aid in changing the channel and turning off the set. I know to some people this may come as a shock but those items have always been on television sets. Everyone has the power to just change the channel if they do not like what they are watching. Parents have the power to decide if their child should view violence. I know I sound repetitive but many parents these days not only do not know this but are far more willing to pin blame on many things other than themselves for a child seeing someone getting shot on televsion.

Sorry, as a former child care provider and someone seeking to start my own family with my husband pretty soon, this is a very touchy subject for me.

You can be like me and completely loose interest in TV and computer games. As far as recreation goes, I am mainly interested in websites like this one. I don't even look at CNN.com that much any more. But since I live like a hermit anyway, you don't have to take my choice seriously. And I only use 10 KW of power a day; I have the lower electric bill, so there.

Yes...there is way too much violence on TV. But people should be able to differentiate between what they see on TV and what is acceptable in real society. If parents are worried about what children see, they should block shows that show such violence.

people shouldn't censor television or video games, if parents don't want their children being influenced by these things it is their responsibility to protect their children. i feel that those of us who enjoy nudity and violence should be afforded our rights
