Gorgy, a recent arrival from a land-locked part of the old USSR has found employment in the Chirpy Chippy and cooks the most gorgeous fish, succulent, firm, white and wrapped in golden batter, served with chips, crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Okay, he is illegal but surely his citizenship would be automatic if he applied?

I agree he is making a vital and serious contribution to the people of this country and should be honoured with an MBE or something maybe a VC even.

The chip shop should be able to get him a work permit from the home office website.. type in "work permit" on your search bar.
