What exactly do we experience? Do we feel things that cause us to think about them? Or do we think about things that cause us to feel certain emotions?

She was once in a relationship with my boyfriend, and when she is in town (lives in the city) she will try to call him to get him to go out with her. How do you think I should deal with this?

My boyfriend does answer or respond to her calls, but it still aggravates me.

I am NOT proporting abortion but rather encouraging people to consider their social responsibility. I wonder about a childs right to be loved, cared for, adored, and raised well. Don't they deserve that too? There are millions of kids accross America in foster care that don't have stabliy or love in their lives. And somehow that is okay because they have "life"? If you are a pro-lifer I'd like to know if you have ever thought about this.

My psychology teacher said that women normally go for personalty while men go for looks. He also said that normally in a relationships, men and women are normally on the same attractive level. To me this doesn't make any sense cause if that was the case women would go for more looks as well. What do you think about this?

I've been previously diagnosed as having generalized anxiety disorder and social phobia, but I think this (seemingly stronger) diagnosis of "avoidant personality disorder" fits me to a tee. From the diagnostic criteria listed on wiki:

> Avoids occupational activities that involve significant interpersonal contact, because of fears of criticism, disapproval, or rejection

I definitely avoid all such activities that I can.

> Is unwilling to get involved with people unless certain of being liked

I suppose this is accurate. I am certain I will not be liked, thus I am sure that attempting to "get involved with people" is something I should not do.

(running out of characters... more coming.)

My husband claims that due to my closed emotional state from 6 years of physical abuse about every 3 to 4 months causes him "frustration" because I don't immediatley forgive him with open arms which in turn "causes" him to to explode all over again. All because I am holding a grudge against him. I'm full of hate and what do I expect after showing no love for 3 to 4 months. By the way, he began this at a time when I loved him whole heartedly. Now when I come to a point I feel I can look at him and not want to spit at him and sleep beside him he considers that teasing. I explain its a starting point for me to open up again but I'm no where near ready for intimacy. He becomes angry at me turning him down and hurts me again. And again its my fault. If I would "just sweeten up" I remind him I was full of sweetness the first time he hurt me....for being an hour late from walmart after shopping with a friend. Now he is trying to use the bible and faulting me for not forgiving him.

A German told me that men find women who are BOTH beautiful AND intelligent scary, but not women who are either beautiful or intelligent. Is it true? So I'd like to ask guys what type of women you're afraid of, and ladies, what type of guys you're afraid of. And why? Thanks for sharing.

I keep having a dream that I commit suicide and am floating around from house to house trying to get people to notice me, and I go completely insane.

At first I didn't think anything of this dream, but I've had it over and over again, and it's getting under my skin.

Do you think dreams tell us anything?
