I have been suffering from post partum depression for the past one year when I gave birth to a baby boy. I couldn't stop thinking about how my husband loves him more than me and how things might be better if he wasn't born at all. Thus, I stayed away from him because I knew that I might do something I will regret for the rest of my life.
Almost instantly I went to a therapist and convince them that I need help. Among other things, I've tried herbal supplements and other book to treat depression but nothing works like the Depression Free Method. So now I'm proud to say I'm one of the happiest mother in the world. My husband loves us both very much and I thank the Lord for the blessing he gave us.

I'm sorry but i feel depression if just the latest fad where people can go to the doctor tell them that there life or part of there life isnt working and suddenly the doctor tells them they are depressed and gives out perscriptions. To me and everybody it is a state of mind and people need to be more positive. If for example somebody at work is putting you down take the posatives from it or look at it another way by thinking this person must have the real problems to have to put me down take issue with this person and stand up for all the good things you have done if you can't think of any then get off your **** and do something worth while make yourself feel good by helping others and yourself.

Clinical depression is a relapsing, distressing condition of varying severity that has no discernible antecedent, or trigger in many cases.
Pharmacology, no matter how advanced, can take you so far, the tried and tested medicines being the staple "quick fix" recommended by almost all consultant psychiatrists, general practitioners, HMo's, what have you.
Best advice.. embrace your sorrow, pain and or heartache.. this is the first step to happiness. You will, in time, discover your next step in life and learn to enjoy both joy and sadness equally.
It sounds a bit nutty, but hey... I'm depressed too.. just muddling through.
Best wishes...

Hi wtfnmy22. Yes, depression is a bytch. I have been depressed all of my life. I started out as a depressed baby. I moved on to a bummed out childhood. I endured a miserable teens. And now I am plowing my way through the horrendous twenty somethings. I am so down the floor looks like a ceiling.

I know how you feel. I came out with an equation when i was younger... loneliness and boredom equals depression. Try to keep yourself with friends or family. It helps. Also, keep yourself busy. Find a hobby. Watch foreign films (i love the Tartan Asian Extreme movies, they're so interesting), read novels. It really does help. And just try to be positive. Good luck and feel better. Best Wishes.

Ugh!! Depression!!! The blinding shade in the valleys.
It can be frustrating too.
I once took a test to see how depressed I was. The answer came back saying I am not depressed.
THAT was a bummer. I even fail depression tests. LOL
Hope your enjoying soon!

Sorry but I like being up-when I feel myself getting depressed and sometimes before I know it am in it or dwell ed on stuff too long but eventually get tired of it and shake off-after 2-3 days Life too short to be miserable. If I couldn't shake off would get me a pill, something for like being up much much better.
