I am NOT proporting abortion but rather encouraging people to consider their social responsibility. I wonder about a childs right to be loved, cared for, adored, and raised well. Don't they deserve that too? There are millions of kids accross America in foster care that don't have stabliy or love in their lives. And somehow that is okay because they have "life"? If you are a pro-lifer I'd like to know if you have ever thought about this.

Sure have, I am pro-life but that is my decision and I have no right to tell any woman what to do with her body, if it's wrong for me it might be right for another, none of us have all the answers sometimes it's a crap shoot, and sometimes we just have to take time to float, just float, there are lots of children who need love and what can we do, we can love them, make sure they have beds, food, love, educaton and protection, perhaps not take them in, but every bit of energy spared for them counts for something.

So, I have read your statement twice and what you are saying is that foster kids don't receive love...and stability. I was raised by both of my parents and never had a stable day in my life! It's not a guarantee, it's a gift that some never get. Foster kids get tons of love, attention, care and joy. Honestly, there are good people out there who dearly care for the children trusted to their care. So you would choose abortion over foster care? I adopted my 2 foster care children. Both of them are glad to be alive today, believe me...the alternative would have been disastrous for me and for them!

Many pro-lifers do take in foster kids and adopt children (even if they have large families, are battling cancer or serious illness, et cetera). But, just one question: Who are we to judge on quality of life? You don’t end illiteracy by killing the illiterate, or poverty by disposing of the poor. We should seek out ways of improving the quality of life that these kids have instead of wondering if they should have been born or not.

My wife and I plan to adopt in the future here. I think if a little responsibility were injected into society, maybe pre-marital pregnancies would go down.

I would like to take in a few. But I'm not sure if I could. Most likely someday when I live in a better neighborhood.

I would take a foster child for SURE, but my husband won't allow it. That is my excuse. I would love one.
