My work desided to start me at 6 AM from now on! I usually always started work at around 2-3 o'clock in the afternoon and have gotten used to that. And I usually stay up until the wee hours of the morning. But NOW I got to start getting ready for work at 4:15 AM!

How can I adjust to this time change without being useless at work because of little sleep?

I see a turning of the tides in US culture. I see a return to a time where the people were more reserved, modest, buttoned-up, Victorian. It will be expressed in many ways. Fashion, grammar, television, movies, fiction novels, food, mannerisms, art, etc.
I have my reasons that lead me to theroem, but I should like to reserve them pending your thoughts on this. Thank you.

The economist Steven Levitt was the first to discover a link between abortion and falling crime rates. In cities where abortion was legalized, crime rates fell dramatically about 20 years after the law was passed. (His study concerned New York)
This is because the people most likely to have abortions are those below the poverty line, teenage mothers etc. Basically the same group that produces most criminals.
If we offered $500 to anybody who volunteered to be sterilized, these are exactly the people who would take up the offer.
I believe this would reduce crime, save a fortune on social welfare and have many other beneficial effects.
What do you think?

I am a white male, straight laced , straight arrow, served in the military, decent guy, never laid a hand on anyone in my life. Twice in my life a punk racist teenager sucker punched me on my lower right jaw from behind, breaking left lower jaw at critical times in my life. Luckily, the first time, in Hawaii I had a good doctor. The second time happened on Christmas Day in 1999 by a black gang. I had sh*tty doctors, 3 surgeries and now I am f*cked for life! Breathing, eating, pain are problems. In both instances robbery was NOT the motive. They broke my jaw and laughed about it and simply walked away. Anyone who has had a broken jaw knows what I am talking about. It's hard for me not to be racist. I can't carry a gun, but I wear special spy equipment, ie videoglasses that record every second of my day through a special video camera inside my glasses. I carry mace. These punks are not men. If you are in a gang you are NOT a man. What happened to you? How do you deal?

Hey, I have a research job interview (work study) that involves the study of autism. I am particularily interested in anything psychological (I am an incoming psych major, but I have no formal education on the topic :( ), especially conditions people may have, specifically on the pediatric level.

The problem is that the only thing I know about autism is that people living with autism have difficulty adjusting to new settings and are very talented in a specific area they've attached themselves to. But I think I would need to know more for my interview, so does anyone know some SHORT and TO-THE-POINT information about the main topics concerning autism?!

Thanks a lot!!!
