It stems from the childhood. Everything a person usually goes through can be somehow linked back to the childhood. They do it for power. I think they are both psychotic and criminals. They know what they are doing is wrong usually, but there is something in their mind telling them they can for whatever reason. But then again it depends on the person. Sometimes it's psychotic, and the person can not register the difference between right and wrong. Sometimes they are criminals who are horny, sorry if I'm being blunt. They were hurt before and they have it all built up, and they take it out on people. It's best not to hate them, even though that sounds weird. That only feeds their idea that nobody wants them in the world. They need help and someone to talk to, just like any other criminal or wrong-doer. It's a shame, but rapists have sick minds. Unfortunately, they are hurt and they hurt other people to take them down with them. Email me if you have any questions, or if you're wondering how I know all of this, lol....

there are two types of rapists one belong to the category of hard core criminals and another belong to the category of psychoses. the typical rapist is an antisocial man with a past criminal record of aggressive act against society. hei is most likely to be married to w woman who reactivates in him his childhood feelings of being both seduced and rejected by his mother. these wives are sexually attractive but rejecting in their attitudes towards their husbands. the rapist will attack women who are yooung or old, ugly or pretty, if the urge comes strong in him. of course, some rape cases concern feebleminded or psychotic men and are, thus, a different matter. men who had some traumatic experiences intheir child hood, or the people who were rejected by their girl friends felt insulted and try to take revenge against the women and rape . some people who have inferiority complex rape women and want to prove that they are superior. soldiers, who left their families and live in severe stress conditions, who starved of sex, do commit rapes. we know invaders used to rape the subjects of the country on which they invaded.society should deal swiftly and severly with the rapist for they inflict not only physical injury but also deep psychological trauma on all connected with the crime, including the children, husband, and parents of the victims.rape is a deviant behaviour because of the faact that the victim is forced into the act and becuse the motivation for the act is abnormal.aggressive psycho paths, religious terrorists and soldiers of imperialist forces also rape women as they feel raping the vulnerable women almost tantamounts to conquering the country.and reached their goals. for example rapes in iraq

I am schizophreic and psychotic people usually are to profoundly preoccupied with what is going on that sex is the last thing on their mind, but not all schizophrenics are the same, but I would say that criminals are the culprits and not the psychotic ones. This is from experience of knowing and talking with schizophrenics also.

They are Psychotic criminals in very few cases in many cases they just do it to feel powerful ( can't beat the crap out of the neighbourhood bully so they rape women to feel that they are more powerful )

Both. The psychologic nature of the "criminal" would be the inablity to to create a different picture within themselves, or inhabitat a clear inner screen. Whether it be addictive by continuation of thought or chemical psychosis, the criminal part comes into something else, our judicial system.

women ALSO rape men. it's not just a one-sided thing. you just dont hear about it as often.

personally, i think they're both psychotics AND criminals. they're hurting the person they're raping [not to mention probably enjoying it], and it's an illegal act.

Criminal and psychotic are not mutually exclusive. Rapists happen to be both.

Both.

Remember, rape is a crime of assault, not sex.

It is a way to extend control and power over someone to make the rapist feel better about themselves.

Both. Certainly criminals, not always psychotic. Sociopathic, yes. They wish to emotionally hurt another, control her, this sexually excites them. But beyond doubt, they are felons!
