No, they only have a very short motivational effect (til theyre not in your company.) Do it for your self - decide what you want and the best way YOU can achieve it, you'll get much more of a buzz when you're successful!

I think they can help if you need something to kick you out of a low mood and you need motivation. It would be hard to maintain a level of motivation like that, but sure I think it can and has helped many people atleast change some of their thoughts, be a little more positive, judge others less, meet a few goals. Some of it may stick and some of it will not. But I always find that I can take something positive from books like that. Tony Robbin's books are great I think. Good for when you need a dose of motivation.

Look, these are "Mass Media" gurus. They don't claim to work for everybody. They don't claim to "solve" every problem a particular person has. They help some people some of the time. If they can help YOU depends on what YOUR problem is.

The question shouldn't be "do they help?" but "are they worth it?"

And the answer to that is they don't claim to be expensive; if they even only help a little bit, then they are still offering value for money (compared to personal one-on-one sessions with ta private shrink).

If you respond to what they say and how they're saying it, and if you really want help, and if you act as well as listen. That's a lot of "ifs", I know, but it's the only way I've seen anything that's supposed to be motivational work.

Having seen this guy on the selling chanel I bought his complete sets off ebay. Yes, they are excellent and yes they really do help but you have to be willing to put in the hard graft from your end. It helps you to change the way you think about life, work, family, health etc. However, you need to listen to it often otherwise (at my age anyway) you tend to go off the boil.
