That's about what I get paid, and I'm doing work that interests me. It's well enough for me in my current situation in life, and I would work for less if I couldn't work here. I could apply for better paid jobs with my current education and experience, but I like it here, and I have enough money... What would be the point? If something more interesting turns up, then I'll consider.

I guess I'm just a lucky bastard when I have the freedom to choose. Most people seem to at least think that they don't have it. But if you were trying to ask if I would do some uninteresting work only for money, and I had to choose between it and unemployment... Then definately I would work. And get better education or whatever needed for more interesting jobs while at it.

I've gotten out of bed for less, and I'm not prepared to do it again. Some employers manage to wheedle their way out of paying their workers a proper wage!

It's a start. Depends on the hours, and cost of living. People in bulgaria get an average 35p an hour.

Beats £50 quid a week on the dole and being subjected to aussie soaps all day.

It's far better to get out of bed for £250 per week, than lie in bed unemployed!. You can work your way up. AND have self respect.
Go Work.

unfortunately we live in a world where we need to work jobs we detest because we need a reliable income. When you're young its OK to please yourself, however when you get tied down with responsibility it isn't so easy any more-you don't want to let your partner/kids down and the mortgage/rent still needs paying that's when life becomes miserable and relationships break down.

By the way my first job payed £29.50 week 40 hrs week

I wouldn't get out of bed for any amount of money in the world unless it interested me!
