The reason I ask is because in my science class they said that in 2050, the average tempurature will rise 4 degrees ferinheit, In 2050, only 4 degrees!!!That sounds rediculous to me!!!!

I know this may sound like a silly question...

What time of day does the daily high and low tempeature occur on average?

I realize that this varies from day to day, but at some point in the afternoon the high occurs (barring a cold or warm front moving in) and sometime at night the low occurs.

Precisely when do they occur on average?

My guess is about 3PM/3AM

I live in Iowa and I remember snow would always fall a few times before thanksgiving and by the time thanksgiving was here there was plenty of snow. For a good part of the winters snow would be more then a foot high and weather would be well below freezing.

But with in the past 5-8 years or so it seems like snow is just starting to fall less and less usually coming right before christmas. So far this year we have then maybe 1/2 inche of snow that lasted for about 24 hours and its been about 40-50 degrees out. So has anyone else around the country noticed a change in winter weather or maybe summer too that you could detail for us.

On either the science or discovery channel they said that due to global warming the fresh water trapped in ice caps will mix with the salt water of the oceans. This will cause the ocean currents, which distribute heat throughout the world, to stop completely. This will plunge the northern hemisphere into another ice age, and the only ones who would survive would need special protective clothing. What is this special protective clothing and where can I BUY SOME!?

I am having a birthday party both inside and outside for my daughter on Christmas Eve during the day. The forecast on the weather channel says scattered showers. The forecast in my local newspaper for that day says mostly cloudy. How accurate are these forecasts?
