I am having a birthday party both inside and outside for my daughter on Christmas Eve during the day. The forecast on the weather channel says scattered showers. The forecast in my local newspaper for that day says mostly cloudy. How accurate are these forecasts?

Actually, check

weather.gov (National WEather service).

They give detailed forecasts and have Detailed discussions on my they made the forecast the way it was.

Should of added, meteorologists unfortunately predict weather differently, so you will find a variety of forecasts that aren't the same, especially this far away from Christmas Eve.

the one you should trust the most is the weather channel because they are probably the most accurate you can get but it could be mostly cloudy until late and then the showers will come in but definetly trust the weather channel
