I was told that the Farmers Almanac is predicting a massive amount of snowfall for Pennsylvania for the 2006/2007 winter. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

I am curious, have there ever been any hurricanes hit any of the western coast of USA, Alaska, Hawaii, New England, Northeast, Canada, or even Greenland, Iceland, or Europe?

Any interesting websites on this subject?

Just in Canada:

1987 - Edmonton - tornado moves through the middle of Evergreen trailer park diagonally, destroying the maximum number of trailers possible

1988 - southern Alberta - two tornadoes one week apart touch down for a short time, and each destroy exactly one trailer

1995 - a tornado in southern Ontario wipes out a drive-in theater showing Twister - I'm sure trailers were somehow involved

2000 - Pine Lake, AB - a tornado wipes out a campground packed with trailers

2006 - Manitoba - a tornado wipes out a campground packed with trailers

It's the middle of the season, and there haven't been any hurricanes yet. Just one tropical storm.

And they were predicting such a horrible hurricane season. National Geographic even said: "Hurricanes: No End In Sight"

Yeah, right.
