nope. it's simpler than that.
GOD wants to be sure mobile homes are mobile and he sends tornadoes to make sure.

no there is no correlation between tornadoes and trailers.
One thing less intense tornadoes cause severe damage to trailers and not much to other buildings
less intense tornadoes are more common that intense
trailers are often in the suburbs surrounding city centres hence more areas, as tornadoes move towards city centres they are more likely to hit a trailer
and many large cities create their own micro climate so as tornadoes approach a city centre they will more likely dissipate before they get to far into the city and do damage. The conditions for tornado development are uncommon over cities, due to the amount of pavement
Taking all these factor in to consideration it can be seen due to location and structure of trailers that they have the high probability of being hit and damaged by a tornado.
so trailers do not attract tornadoes but are always in the way :)

Good point this is why I got out of the trailer and into a house about 9 years ago I was afraid God would send a tornado.
I will tell you what is scarrier: We went to the drive in theater to see the movie Twister when it came out and at the scene where the tornado hits the drive in we got a weather alert that there were storms in the area. I packed up the kids and left. that was just way too weird

No, but trailers are much more likely to suffer severe damage in light or moderate storms due to their lack of a foundation. It usually takes at least an F3 tornado to do serious damage to buildings with foundations, but an F1 or F2 can overturn trailers.

No, mobile homes do not attract tornadoes, but living in a mobile home/trailer (or in Politically Correct terms: "Manufactured Home") is not a safe place to be in Tornado Alley.

No. It just seems that way because so many people with trailers lke to live in high tornado traffic 'corridors'. It's a direct result of Donaghues' First Law: There is no upper bound on human stupidity.

bill w., I agree with you 100% trailers and trailer parks do attract storms, especially tornado's, but did you know the following:
Fog is generated from the concrete headstones at graveyards
It is only really misty in forests
It never rains in Southern California, it pours Lord it pours
Life is just a dream, sha-boom, sha-boom
Wind only works beneath your wings and in Chicago
There is no Bermuda Triangle it is the Bermuda Rectangle
Elvis lives (this one is truly factual)
If you reverse the power to a microwave it will freeze food??

There is no scientific evidence that trailers attract tornadoes. It can best be described as an urban myth.
