Would you rather live in a country that is Hot all year round OR cold all year round?

Personally I'd rather be in a hot country. Just because I don't like being cold. I find winter in the UK depressing.

With the recent heatwave hitting Europe and US, seems that global warming is indeed getting worse. Every summer it seems the temperature is climbing, in 100 years time, do you think the earth would be unsuitable for mankind anymore ? Or do you think due to the heat, all the ice in the artic will melt thus flooding the earth ???

I'm in Charlotte, North Carolina and it's about 98F(37C) but while I was driving back from lunch the car thermometer briefly reached 100F. Anyone over 100F?

Okay, I mean you have to get them out, then shake them off before getting into the car, and then alot of the time the rain is accompanied by a little wind., so you end up wet anyway. I quess I just don't see the point. So please tell me if you get wetter with or without the umbrella in the rain.

I Know that dropping low to the ground when your skin tingles is a given, but are there any other ways to avoid the strike of death? For ex: like breathing lightly or something?

Have you ever wondered? If it's raining in New York and not in New Jersey, exactly where does the raining end and the not raining begin? Is there a place where you can take a few steps one way and be out of the rain, and just a few steps the other way will put you right back in it... you don't have to take this last part seriously but I'd really like to know how it works.

I'm very afraid of lightning. I always sit in fear of a lightning strike when it rains like crazy. I saw a very bright lightning bolt along with a very loud cracking sound right out side of my window last night. It was the closest one that has hit so far.

I've also had a dream(nightmare) that i was struck while i was walking to my car. In my dream it felt like "i was shocked by electric" thru-out my whole body, and i was thrown about 8 feet off the ground. I laid there while my body kept jerking and twitcing. It was so weird!

I'm asking because I want to know why some people die when struck by lightning why some don't and why some go deaf.

A funnel clouds will be 4 miles east of me in 30 mins and it is heading in our direction. Should we take cover now they turned on the sirens outside already for about 5 minutes. Do we still have a little time or should we take cover now.
