Shouldn't this question be directed at car drivers?
Most of them seem to think it's someone else's problem.
NOBODY seems to care.

There is absolutely nothing any of us can do about it. It is a completely natural cycle that the Earth has been following since it was formed. We can fiddle about trying to make miniscule changes to the greenhouse gasses if we want - but we are nowhere near the pollution levels at the time of the dinosaurs - when volcanoes were much more prolific! Global warming WILL continue regardless of what anyone says or does - it's a fact. Enjoy the hotter weather while it lasts because once the ice caps melt, the circulation of warm water that gives us in the UK a temerate climate, will be disrupted and we'll end up more like Siberia. Consider the fact that seashells have been found halfway up mount Everest and you'll start to realise just how much our planet keeps changing!
Brace yourselves!!

the gradual increase of the temperature of the earth's lower atmosphere as a result of the increase in greenhouse gases since industrial revolution. The temperature of the atmosphere near the earth's surface is warmed through a natural process called the greenhouse effect. Visible, shortwave light comes from the sun to the earth, passing unimpeded through a blanket of thermal, or greenhouse, gases composed largely of water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. I.R rays reflects off the planet's surface toward space but does not easily pass through the thermal blanket. Some of it is trapped and reflected downward, keeping the planet at an average temperature suitable to life, about 60°F (16°C).

I take the plane about 10 times a year and I drive to go to work which makes me one of the word's largest polluter.
People in Europe often complain that the Americans are the biggest polluters in the world per head and don't care about the environment. This is true but here in Europe we are the second worst and I think we should look at our actions before pointing the finger at others.

More than most, it would seem.

I walk everywhere.
I Recycle, everything from Glass 2 Paper.
We have no A/C.
We own Only 1 car, fuel efficient of course.
No tumble/dryer, my washing goes out on the Line 2 B dried by the Wind/Sun, which is Free.
I buy clothes from Charity Shops.
The house lights only go on once it's dark & not B4.

I do more than my fair share of using resources wisely.

Improved cavity wall and loft insulation saving heat, use the car only when needed (walking more) having showers and not baths, using the immersion heater for small bursts instead of the combined rad/boiler gas heaters, making sure there is a full load for washing, only filling the kettle for enough boiling water as i need, switch off standby on all electrical goods when not in use, we have a water butt for watering the garden, all these thing add up and if everyone did them instead of having their head up their *** it would make a real difference yeah baby!

I go outside everyday and spray hairspray into the air...my neighbor thinks I'm nuts.

I also removed the catalytic converter from my V8 pickup truck, now I get 3 miles less to the gallon, burn more sulphur into the air, but I do get more power.

Again, for all you idiots who worry about global warming; we only have roughly 100 years of information to go on as far as temperature readings, meteorologists can't predict 1 week from now what makes you think they can predict decades from now.

Most glaciers are receding, but they are growing in girth (bet you never hear that)

Get over it! Record weather trends are set every year! We ought to expect the planet to be warming while on its way out of an ice age!

Oh and antmanbee, computer, tv, coffee maker, and grow lamps all use electricity, which in all likelyhood was probably produced with fossil fuels, your not doing anything to combat the so-called theoretical problem.

Did anyone of you see "The Day After Tomorrow"? If yes, that's gonna happen to our planet.
How can you explain tornadoes inside a city?!
Global warming is not entirely a natural phenomenon. In fact, nowadays global warming is a man-made disaster. Nature will severely react to this.

I am going to:
*stop using energy efficient light bulbs
*stop recycling
*run the taps 24/7
*leave the car running all day (and night)
*switch the air conditioning on and leave it on all the time
*leave the tv/video/stereo/fans on 24/7
*Pray that the problem will get worse
*Hope air con. gets cheaper as i cant afford it yet.

How do we know it's global warming? Maybe the equator's moving? Maybe Al Gore just wants to sell books. Who knows?
