according to physicists all matter is already in existence so where do these pesky photons come from?? in the bulb there are electrons protons and neutrons making up the atoms of the metal and glass of the bulb but i don't see where the photons come from? i understand how they are produced but not why and where from

Can anyone please tell me why long wires provie more resistance than short wires in as much scientific detail as possible? Ignoring thickness. I'm confused... is it because more electrons collide with more atoms, increasing the energy transfer form kinetic energy to thermal energy? S.O.S

A space station consists of a circular tube which is set rotating about its center (like a tubular bicycle inner tube). The circle formed by the tube has a inner diameter of 1.5 km and an outer diameter of 1.6 km.

-- Where will the people inhabit this space station?

-- What must the rotation speed be if an effect equal to Earth’s gravity at the surface is to be felt by its occupants?

-- What torque must be applied to the station if it is to attain this speed from rest in two hours and the mass of the station is 187,016 kg?

Does the column of water have any affect on the pressure at the bottom of the beaker it is standing in. For instance if a column of water was to be closed by a door from the liquid in the beaker, would the pressure of the water be changed. does the column of water have no affect on presure of water in the beaker it is standing in. I think this is an important scientific question and i can find no answer to it. It would be common sense that standing a column of water would mean a higher pressure excerted on the beaker, but is that not the reality. As the atmposheric pressure was already excerting pressure. Does anyone have the technological equipment to do this experiment. As i don't.
Does anyone have a watch barometer.

I have a theory that contrary to popular belief hot air does not rise, (at least of its own accord) but that it only appears to do so because it is forced out of the way by colder, denser air. Does anyone agree?
