A radian is defined as the angle subtended by an arc the same length as the radius.

Consider the whole circle (360 degrees) with a radius of 1 to simplify the calculations. This is subtended by the whole circumference which is 2 * pi* radius. So 360 degrees = 2 * pi radians.

180 degrees is therefore pi radians.

degrees to radians: divide by 180, multiply by pi.
radians to degrees: divide by pi, multiply by 180.

multiplication and division, of course, can be performed before or after one another.
