If a magnet cut in to 2 pieces & tried to join in the same direction,it will not join.but if we rotates one piece through an angle 180degree & tried to join ,it will join.My question is that why the magnet pieces are not joining in the first case & what happens in the next case?

hey, can u please help me on some physics!!....i mean, its only basic, says the teachers, but i dont seem to understand the concept!

There are two questions:
1] Why are there no 'ideal' system in existence?
2] Which has greater internal energy-liquid alcohol at 78 degrees C or gaseous alcohol at 78 degrees C? explain.
( is it gaseous, because the particles are far apart?)

consider the amount of balloons a well voiced person can inflate.compress the ballon into a barrel at say,200' under water and then alow the barrel to pull a cable towards the surface of the WATER.compute the energy produced by the barrel rising and the energy nessesary to cause the air in the barrel to locate.this is a 17,000 year old tip.

You made a perfect box out of two way mirrors, (the kind they use in interigation rooms) and made it so the reflective sides were all facing in and the see through sides were outside. Would the light collect inside? Would there be any way to trap light?

A ball is shot at an angle of 45 degrees into the air with initial velocity of 45 ft/sec. Assuming no air resistance, how high does it go? How far away does it land?

Can someone explain step by step how to do this problem.

thanks

A particle travels counterclockwise around the origin at constant speed in a circular path that has a diameter of 2.50 m, going around twice per second. Point Q is on the path halfway between points P and R, which lie on the x axis and the y axis, respectively. State the following velocites as vectors in polar notation. (a) What is the particle's average velocity over the interval PR? (b) What is its average velocity over the interval PQ? (c) What is its instantaneous velocity at point P?

The coordinates for P is (1.25,0), coordinates for R is (0,1.25), I do not know what the coordinate for Q is, There is a diagram, a circle, where pt. P and pt. R are part of it. Q is in the middle of P and R

a) (___,___°)
b) (___,___°)
c) (___,___°)
