Step 1 Become wealthy beyond you wildest dreams
Step 2 Build a rocket ship
Step 3 Learn to pilot said ship
Step 4 Get all necessary permissions from air authorities to fly
Step 5 BLAST OFF !

There you go
I think it will take 5 steps then
I hope this has helped
but you may need a few more to get back to tell you mates you made it, or how are we to believe you (you might want to bring back a rock or something)

About 4 or 5 depending. If you were sitting on a big hill underneath a huge harvest moon and you were a bit trolleyed then I reackon 4 or 5. Maybe 6 & a half if you take small steps.

HAHAHAHA - All these people with there distance calculations, what do you think your professors or something, you forgot one simple fact the Moon is actually moving around the Earth, so you can't take a straight line to it. It would depend on when and where you left the Earths Atmosphere. You would take a looped trip probably going round the world a few times first etc so you would need to label a load of constants before working this one out.

Call NASA they'll do it for you. LOL

Well its simple, it depends upon a person how long his/her step his. If u cover 'x' feet in your one step. And we know the distance of moon from earth( u can get from any website). so number of steps taken to travel to moon is :
Steps= y/x ; where y is the distance of earth and moon.

You haven't made this clear. Do you mean steps to become an astronaut and the training etc.?

Or do you mean metaphorical footsteps? If a step is about a metre, it's 384, 401, 000 steps, so approx 384 million steps.

well, the moon is approx. 329000 mi from earth. multiply that by 5280 and you get 1261920000ft. The avg human step is approx 3ft.

that number divided by 3 is 420640000 so about that many steps

Assuming you could physically walk there, I reckon 480,000,000 steps.

This is based on an average distance between the earth and the moon being 384,000km, and a step being 80cm long

very intresting question, makes me think too...

not sure how many steps, but im sure if u do take it step by step it'll take years and years to get there, and when u get there then catch ur breath for some more step by step and years to come making it back to earth. =)

One small step for a man

The avearage distance to the moon is about 238,857 miles.

If one step is about a yard and there are 1,760 yards in the mile, I'd say about 420,400,000 steps.

But you can't actually walk to the moon
