A potato operated vehical. A potato is an organic battery. Since it is a battery, you can use one to seperate water atoms (hydrogen and oxygen) too. Lighting hydrogen causes a boom.

if you're trying to appeal to kids, a cardboard box! haha! I know that wasn't what you're looking for, but all kids love to play in boxes and they definitely cost less than $15 :)
